Why isn't the Focus RS or ST AWD..? It drives like it already has AWD which Ford wanted to do get over it it wont be AWD and the RS Focus has a 2.5L engine not a 2.0L engine 2.5 produces 305hp 325lbs of torque 2.0 produces 247hp 260lbs of torque. Price wise its going to be high 20's and close to 30k mark. I would say if you can't afford that the next best thing is the Fiesta ST 1.6L 180 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque.
Car looks GREAT... unfortunately, the ST badge looks way too much like the Subaru STI badge. I know Ford is trying to catch that kind of buyers eye here but seriously it comes across badly. With cars like this the American dumb truck stereotype continues to fall apart...
what happened to the US getting the Focus Rs ...that was 300hp and way nice...sad...we have to wait to get the good models of cars from our own country, who cares where it was produced..
such a beaut, though if they get much higher than 25k it will flounder. Deff wana check it out at the dealer next year, which will be my first time setting foot in a Ford dealer in a decade lol jk.
@almost7891 No, this focus ST does NOT replace the previous RS. There will be a new focus RS coming out in the near future. Go google the article "Ford Focus RS slated for a comeback" by WorldCarFans.
@TheW3s I hope too, it would be a sweet car, always been a fan of euro focus especially the 2010 focus RS, but im not sure I would take a 350hp+ FWD over a similarly priced 4WD evo or sti, and maybe even the golf r.
You're always going to find a more powerful car. The speed3 will have a little more power but overall the Focus will be the better car. I have much love for speed3 but I like the look of the Focus interior more and it'll get better mileage too. The speed3 doesn't have the touch screen or the dash colors I like. It's all a matter of what people's preferences are.
I agree with the engine shot. It's easy to see that's not the production motor. I think they just needed a filler.
@CJinSeattle Yes you have a point on the fit and finish of the Focus vs the speed3. although most likely this will be the speed3 Mazda motor. seeing as the 4-cylinder motors used by Ford are all provided by Mazda and all 6-cylinder motors used in Mazda's are provided by Ford. As for gas mileage, when you buy a hot hatch gas mileage is my last concern. The touch screen or Ford's Sync has gotten many negative reviews and feedback. All in all it is a hot hatch and performance is what matters.

almost7891 5 months ago
@almost7891 No, it's not. RS is higher performance than ST.

@bezzle67 ok but you are saying that as if they are still going to have an RS...which they arent. so basically this is the new RS

@almost7891 You're right, I am saying it like that... because we are, just you wait. It'll happen.

TheW3s 5 months ago
@TheW3s yeah, dunno if it's true about the specs, 345-375hp would be sweet though. but in the end it's still FWD compared to evo's AWD.
