@CIKO32123 k first of all the R35 GTR has a VR38DETT and it is not a Skyline no matter how many times it has to be fucking said. The name "Skyline" is being pushed down the v-chassis series (V35, V37 Skyline) from nissan also known as the Infiniti G35 and G37 in the USA. A little extra knowledge for you on engines so you dont get confused the g35 carries the VQ35DE and the g37 carries the newer VQ37VHR (HR standing for High Rev) and revs to approxiamtely 7500rpm.

@CIKO32123 The reason for the R in R35, R34, R32 etc. is the chassis code. For example a R32 is a E-BNR32 chassis (commonly shortened to R32), This goes the same for all skylines. The car retains its heritage by using the chassis code CBA-R35, or simply R35. :D So technically its still a Skyline chassis, however Nissan dropped the skyline name and gave it the Important part the GTR. Just cuz someone has a Skyline doesnt make it good. we have alot of NON GTR shit skylines here in Japan.

i know it sounds crazy but i think the GTR only comes as automatic from factory.. im pretty sure motor trend says only available as an auto..all of them. lots of new sports cars do that to ensure they are always performing and not seeing assholes miss shifts.. new chargers are only auto. but those are gay anyways

@thedarron420 it only comes automatic because it is supposed to be a very hightech car. launch control, auto w/paddle shifts, and very smart AWD make for a quick ride without much input from the driver.

@BDucasse21 Thats totally wrong. It has never been called a Skyline it's just R35 GTR. Doesn't have the same RB26DETT engine as the Skyline GTR's had. If Nissan wanted it to be called a Skyline they would have named it that but they haven't so it's not! It's like this - a guy is called Mike (Skyline GTR) but his brother is called Simon (R35 GTR) you wouldn't call Simon by the name of Mike would you - as its not his name!

I have this thing on my car too . If I accelerate t the maximum power it lag in 2nd gear 4000 rpm . If didn't accelerate at maximum power you'll see no lag :) .

But the sloution is get some better oil for your engine .

@SilEightySEK It's reaaally heavy. I have a 1987 celica gt-four (4wd turbo), built by toyota for wrc homologation so they are known as being heavy and tough. It's only 1350kg full weight. Now i got it down to ~1100kg and with only 500bhp it will go faster than a 800hp r35. That's 600kg less!! lol. Ok you cannot compare a stripped car and a full trim but still, weight totally kills performance, acceleration, cornering, braking...

2nd off the trans/diff on a GTR is in the back for much better weight distribution

3rd the brakes on a GTR are insane, braking is NOT an issue

4th this particular GTR has JRZ suspension ($8000) worth more than your car so believe me it handles the balls

@SilEightySEK I'm not trying to bring down the r35 its probably one of my favorite cars. But i'm 100% sure i'd be faster in the straight. I still have a bit of work to do on the suspensions and but big brakes on this thing. But i cannot see how a 800hp 1720kg gtr can be faster around the track than a 550bhp 1000kg fully modified gt4... (with big brakes, suspensions etc...) All the super fancy stuff you've mentioned in the r35 are here to cope with the extra weight mainly.

@SilEightySEK I saw you were doing 40mph to 100mph in 3,5sec. Last year when my car was running with 1180kg and around 350bhp, it would do 40 to 80mph in 3.5sec flat. Now with 550bhp, 80kg less, and with launch control + flatshift i let you imagine what it will do. This is why i'm saying that the weight seriously kills the power. If you strip a r35, what is the lowest weight you can get? without going crazy with chassis and body lightening ($).

@A4rings This gtr has around 460hp/ton, mine is around 540hp/ton. How can it be faster? I have full suspension, big brakes etc... I'd rather choose less weight over more power, it will accelerate, brake, and turn better. Next engine i will build will be a 2.3l with 700 or 800bhp, but i don't think i will run full boost because the car weight nothing. I'm still using the stock internals + cams at the moment...
