  • nice

  • 2:35- Into the fishtank you go!

  • do u still have the track plan???:)

  • I started to set up a new layout but I have young children and I can't convince them to leave it alone so I going to take it down for a few more years. I'll probably build them a HO roundy round that they can play with.

  • @LeonJRichard I am new to model railroading.I have an empty bedroom 12x10,and i am debating Ho or N scale. This will be my first layout, and I want to have a good size yard and alot of industries.I need some help on this, so any advice is welcome.Thanks.

  • @jelchet69 You can Run Larger trains on N Scale Lay Outs than You can in Ho with limited space!

  • nnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooo. you shouldent have dismanted your n scale layout. All of your hard work (and money) will go to waste.

  • Great looking Layout! Was this DCC? If so, what system did you use?

  • It was DCC i used the digitrax Zephyr. In hindsight, I should have bought something with more addresses available

  • what type of trains do you run? are you all about a certain type or company, or does it not matter?

  • I was going for a Union Pacific/ south western theme.

  • Have you started a new one?

  • l0vely layout. did u have problem regarding derail

  • No, not derailing, Design problems. Once I realized I had more hidden track then not, It was time to rebuild. Also, I wouldn't go with hidden staging yards again.

  • N scale are the best. They take up so less space

  • what bout z scale????

  • too small

  • i guess so

  • Ya, I thought Z scale was 2 small, and the equipment didn't look realistic enough for me. That was13-14 years ago. Z scale has come a long way, but I'll stick with N scale.

  • @LeonJRichard check out t scale

  • @LeonJRichard HO is one step up if you want something big and cheap

  • soo beutiful! waa! why did u have dismantle!

  • Thanks. I wasn't happy with it anymore, there were problems that made it pointless to continue building it. My new layout will be better.

  • hey uhhhh can I just say add some sound because I love the sounds of trains

  • i love ngauge!!

  • could come one help me im having trouble getting a good conection when i put my tracks down i was wondering wat to use or do THANKS

  • wonderful

  • What type of camera did you use?

  • Some old sony handicam. It isn't digital. The quality is better than whats shown, compressing the video ruined it a bit.

  • like thats the trail layout move around the area, and is not just in one room

  • Thanks for showing this, and for giving me inspiration for my own N scale model railroad project. I'm so very sorry you had to tear down your layout, it was very nice.

  • Thank you.

My layout will be rebuilt one day. I often am inspired to go start one, but I have other priorities right now.

  • isnt this a train club

  • No. I built it by myself, it was in my basement. It isn't very large...the room is approx 10x15 feet.

  • ah man thats a shame it had to be dismantled

  • Wow, this is my favorite layout of all time.

I have seen lots and lots and this by far takes the cake!

  • max the speed, let it fly

  • you should have kept it

  • I never have regretted tearing the layout down. I do regret how long it is taking me to re finish the room, and start another layout. It looks pretty, but it had lots of operational and design problems.

  • Nice work, Will. I feel your pain about slow renovations. But enjoy your daughter... it doesn't take long and all the sudden they're off to college and building a life of their own.

  • I take as the Colorado & Southwestern is your own home road? Sorry to hear that it had to go but hope you have a nicer layout when you get the chance to build it.

  • Thanks for the comments, This layout had gone as far as it could. There were things about it that bugged me that could not be fixed. The room needed refinishing too, so down it came. Being a fairly new father, room renovations are going way slower than I hoped, but the time with my daughter is too important.

I am anxious to start the new layout though!

  • Its sad that your layout has to be dismantled!

  • Nice layout, I like the scenery!

    good job
