  • I'm sorry, you answered my question. I'd like to know what is the shelf life of it in a foam container. How can I extend the foam?

  • How long does the foam last? Will a regular foam dispenser work with the soap nut water?

  • @SparkMyWorld i use about 11 soap nut for 2 cups water and i cook it for 10 min so sadly when i use my mini blender the foam was runny but i can get a good foam when i put it in a foam bottle.its been about 4 days so its a liquid again[becomes liquid the first day after 15 min or more] but i can still get foam because im using a foam bottle .

  • pt2 i can still get foam if i just pour in the liquid without blending.foam bottles are suppose to create foam with any soap liquid.next time im cooking for 30 min so that my foam can be more thicker out of foam bottle.using a foam bottle in shower would be easier than using a empty jug with ready made foam

  • @cherri7 Does this mean that soap nut liquid is a type of "soap liquid" that will always foam---even after 30 days in a foam dispenser?

  • @SparkMyWorld Yep that's correct.i was so surprised that i got foam from this soap nut liquid in foam bottle.if you make the soap liquid weak[less concentrated] than you wont get good foam from foam bottle.before i did 8 soapnuts with 4 cups water and it came out like bubbles out of my foam bottle because i only cook for 10 min.

  • pt2 at first i thought that the amount of soapnut was the reason why i got bubbles which is why i after did 11 soap nuts for 2 cups water but now i know its my cooking time. i even read before on the long hair care community that people had sucess with using foam bottlle which is why i got my bottles.

  • No question is silly if you don't know the answer! :) Yes, we use "regular" soapnuts to make the liquid. I use soapnuts that have not been used but some people boil soapnuts that they have used 3-4 times. My Mom has a hard time telling when the soapnuts are "done" so that is what she does.

  • Silly question for you... did you use the " regular" soap nuts ?? the same one that we wash our laundry with...??? I am new , a real rookie to all this and wanted to know .Thanks. Vanessa

  • Aren't these things great! I have found them to be very useful.

  • Do you remember where you purchased the hand-held blender and plastic container you put the liquid in? Thanks for the video, it was really helpful.

  • Hi, I purchased the hand blender at a Wall's store in Oklahoma when I was travelling. I haven't seen anything quite like it since. You can use a regular hand held blender that you purchase in the kitchen section.

  • Hi there,

Could you tell me how you achieved the liquid before the lather? is it a case of boiling the soapnuts? if so for how long and how many does one need?

    Thankyou

  • @belladios i saw small hand held blenders at ebay when i write in search button foamer .

  • They are the greatest! you are lucky to have known about them so long.

  • That is so true. My mother still uses it on her hair and her hair is long and thick. I will start to use soapnuts again. We, in India use these soap nuts a lot.

  • Hmm, I'll have to try this sometime. I use lotion like crazy trying to keep my skin moisturized!
