I too have low vision, and this is good for all to hear, I too am active in my church, I am a blind outreach volunteer director. My own sight problem come from being born too soon and too much oxygen at birth. So I've fought with that and other problems too, trying to communicate feedback is quite hard for me. I'm also quite sensitive to lights, glaucoma has taken what little sight I have in my left eye my right eye, glacoma and have cataract removed along with problems from that too,

I have a congenital Nystagmus myslwf and i am blind in my right eye i have alway had trouble get jobs cause of this it like you say companies don't want to take chances. I am also active in my church I run the sound system for the music ministry.
I love this video, I find it very interesting. I have a couple of questions though. Like you said in the beginning, you said to be legally blind, you have to be like 20/200+? Wouldn't that mean you can see better in one eye rather than the other? Also, do you enjoy going to movie theatres? I've done a lot of research about this, and I think it's cool you can do that. If I was blind though, I'd be freaked out that I'd walk out into the middle of the road and get hit. Have you had that fear? ~Mike
Ahh thank you so much for such a splendid compliment, my dear friend. I'm doing quite well. I have a steady job, and I love it so much. I'm very fortunate to be employed as a legally blind person. There's no room for any negativity regarding my blindness. I hope all is well with you too. Best wishes to you.
I love your video. Do you have a PDA by any chance (PACmate or BrailleNote?) I agree with everything you've said. Just because we can't see well doesn't mean we're dumb. My vision, for someone who's visually challenged, is pretty good (20/70 in my only seeing eye - which is the left) and I hate the whole employment bit. I think it's because their afraid of the cost involved in things such as JAWS or MAGic, and they use the liability thing or whatever to get by the ADA.
Ah! Thank you so much for your compliment. Yes, I have a BrailleNote BT 32. I believe you're right about the employment situation. What employers are not aware of is that if a blind person needs adaptive equipment to fulfill his or her responsibilities, such equipment can be ordered & purchased through state rehab agencies through grants. Have a wonderful day.
Thank you very much for sharing this description of how you see things Angie. Your appreciation of other senses is truly beautiful. Our world is magnificent with all it has to offer. The sweet smell of pine trees, the sounds of our children playing, the vibrations caused by the thunderous roar of lightning above. All of it is brilliant in it's presentation, and allows us to appreciate this gift of life. Thank you for being you, my friend.
Ah, my dear Rick, you're ever so welcome! And thank you for such a beautiful, heart-filled comment. You are a beautiful human being with a loving heart, and everything I'm saying to you is coming from my heart, and not my head.
My dear, you're welcome anytime, and thank you for letting me share my love & friendship with you. May God richly bless you in many ways unimaginable.
I'm happy to know that you found my video an inspiration to you, and it's always good to hear from those with visual problems similar to mine. Thanks for watching.

I am legally blind also, which was caused by a milk allergy when I was a baby. So I don't drive and have to depend on others to get me around.
