@waazabie PS3 hardware is a 'bit' stronger than xbox 360 hardware, therefor GTA IV should run smoothly on PS3. Also while PC is capable of emulating older consoles like you claim, while newer consoles work differently, therefor either you need a really, really, really strong PC to emulate them, or PC is just unable to emulate it at all.

well if you want to run a game at 1600p in 3D, and have your game Maxed out (To higher settings than what a console can handle) then yeah the extra headroom helps.

yeah, you can build PC's for a pretty decent price now, and these people that are bitching about a PC costing $1,500, they shouldn't be, considering that just a few years ago "Mom & Dads shitty PC" was $1,500. I think most people would agree that your average household computer that couldn't play fuck all for games was about $1,500 a few years ago, and a decent gaming rig was $3,000.
you always should keep in mind that Console is not as good as PC (For Graphics) when you compare PC to Console, it sounds like your saying that with PC you have to spend more to get the same graphics..
but that's not the case. you have to generally spend a bit more than u would a console anyways, because of the capabilities of a PC, but the extra money spent on PC gives you BETTER graphics.

anyways, I just like that I can customize my PC to how I like it, I bet there's not one other single person on the planet that has the identical desktop setup that I have. I like being able to ALT TAB out of a Game, and look up a walkthrough, lol (if needed) PC's are convenient.

and I doubt the PS3 could handle GTA IV in 3D, it barely can as it is, the PS3 version of the game shows you blur instead of detail when in a helicopter for example.

Well, if XP is better then Windows 7, people will continue using XP. And about the 32 bit vs 64 bit, you dont need 64 bit unless you have something like 12 GB ram.
what do you have to prove that? Windows 7 it supprisingly good. It has the looks of Vista, and runs faster than XP. Windows 7 is also great for gaming, running most of my games 20 fps faster than vista.
Only thing that a console stands out for is the multiplayer on one system.
Now, I don't need the Wii cause I play it on the PC!

Buy a PC and you can play almost everything, from Gameboy to N64 to Playstation 2 to Wii.

it is possible for the system but I don't think it will run smooth with GTA4.
A PC in this time could not emulate a next-gen console as XBOX360 or PS3.
In emulators the computer takes on the whole system of a console.
It is not emulating only the game but the whole console.
That's just to hard to do for emulating XBOX360 and PS3.
but believe me, one day it will come out hehe.
