This proves that goldfish are indeed one of the most abused animals in the pet industry. Goldfish are supposed to grow in excess of 12 inches and live beyond 20 years, but sadly, people simply are too ignorant and narrow-minded to read up and research how to care for them properly, which results in a potentially 12 inch fish being kept in a tiny bowl.
