You might have made one good serial here or there but PTV had a whole legace of great serials: Shama, Uncle Urfi, Samandar, La-waris, An-kahi, Dhoop Kinaray, Parchayian etc.

grkns456, honestly speaking Pakistani Dramas are still much better than Indian. Pakistanis are through with "Sas Bahu" centered plays with all that artifical glitters. We make plays which have meaning and relevance like "Kuch ankahi Baatein", "Kuch Dil Ne Kaha", 'Burns Road Ki Neelofar", "Yeh Kaisi Mohabbat Hay". Lots of Pakistanis have unsubscribed Indian TV. Our channels like Geo, ARY, TV One, Indus TV etc have wooed Pakistanis back to Pak Dramas.

All PTV dramas were available in India immediately. We never got any Indian TV plays in Pakistan. Nobody was interested. People who would come from Lahore used to make fun of Indian Plays since Lahore catches Amritsar TV. Bollywood has many times copied even PTV plays. In one movie whole scene from PTV's Ankahi was taken as is. Kareena Kapoor's sister acted in that movie. PTV dramas were shown at Poona film institute for education.

slaksman, why you Indians lie about things? PTV was way ahead than Doordarshan. It was a strict policy of PTV not to glorify anything Indian. Hence, No copy of Indian dramas were allowed. We didn't need to. We have prolific writers, directors and producers. Shoaib Mansoor did not make alphabravocharlie or Sunehray Din after Fauji. He was asked by Pakistan Army to produce such serials. Before that we have made dramas about our 1965 and 1971 Martyrs and also make Pakistani Movies about them.

This serial is so pathetic. Now I know why Doordarshan sucked and why Indians loved Pakistani Dramas. They didn't have better technology. Indoors the scenes are shot without using proper lights. That is why it is so dark. It is only because of broad day light you can make things out.
