I'm from Scotland. Scotland was historically an independent nation with its own distinctive culture and language and I believe we should be independent from the UK. Like Scotland, Tibet was also a free country with a unique culture. I know we are not oppressed like the Tibetans, and this fact gives you far more reason to rise up and liberate your country.

even if obama didn't win, it's not up to bush, his term's over. though obama won, he can only accelerate to a certain extent. us prefer to leave at a more stable situation - with a better/less bad reputation, not waste previous efforts & cost, and to have a more-US friendly or less hostile state. in iraqi's interest, a hasty retreat spells in-fighting, not until the nation's ready. however, american occupation is not an annexation, so it may be prolonged, but neither permanent nor intended so.

Beautiful & very unique national anthem. Thanks for the translation. Most of other national anthems says their country is greatest and all that. But Tibet's anthem is like a prayer itself seeking happiness, peace, compassion of all living beings. Thats awesome. I have so much respect for Tibetan Buddhism.

I lived in Tibet but now I live in Dharamshala. I wish I could go back to Tibet again. Just think that people will have been born and died during the occupation. People never got to see a Free Tibet. The thought makes me so sad.

Learn about languages. The Tibetan language is not a chinese language. Tibetan most closely resembles Burmese among the major languages of Asia.
Tibetan words are different to chinese words.

I lived in Tibet but now I live in Dharamshala. I wish I could go back to Tibet again. Just think that people will have been born and died during the occupation. People never got to see a Free Tibet. The thought makes me so sad.

This is beautiful. China can kill and destroy innocent Tibetans (and it is) but they will never destroy the spirit of Tibet. As the Dalai Lama once said 'Buddha shall apear when he is needed'. Buddha shall apear in Tibet and the greatest nation will restore its full greatness.

Chinese censorship will be useless. The run of the flame around the world be abandoned. And there will be protest during the games unless the Chinese gov. changes its position.

It is easy to make believe in its people that the Olympic flame goes freely in the whole world by censuring these images of protest to the Chinese media. The more educated countries, where the dictatorship is prohibited, have means out of gold at their disposal of protesting against the oppression of Tibet by China.
All peoples said that for ever... Dalai Lama is honor man... and the pathetic China is very bad!

I say we all send letters to our local government representatives to ask them to ask Congress to stop trading with the PRC until they free Tibet. They've done it before, I believe!
