@JakyRedEyes After the huge security breach that NCSoft had when it came to credit card information for their customers that play Aion, they lost a good deal of their players (due to either their info being stolen or fear of it being stolen in the future) and the game's popularity took a nose dive. It has absolutely nothing to do with the exp grind or anything of that nature.

You could spend it on something that's more useful, like a guitar or a pet or something. you cant kill these ones, but in the Abyss there will be Balaur organical ships, you can attack those - they are called Colossus. After you managed to weak them (deactivate its shield, etc), you can invade them and destroy it from inside (like in a dungeon).

Abyss is the most awesome place you can imagine:)
