Swift Academy is very depresing. I hope, you fail and never recive CDL Mr. whatever. How it's possible that non of that swift idiots did not kick you ass out for making that highly depressing videos?
I got treated like crap at millington. Wanted it bad, got driving and then couldn't get any decent trips. I no longer drive for Swift mainly because they get you on all those 200 plus forms they make you fill out to get the job, so they can blame you for any little thing! That's why there's all new swift drivers on the road. They made me a truck driver, but the fucked me bigtime in one year and i too have much better job now!
in general all I can say about Swift is that they are shitty company and those in higher positions will misrepresent the company and treat you like shit. What the term mgr said to me was that "I was an unreasonable risk to the motoring public." which is a lie and that "I expect more from somone with 2 years of experience." Geez it was a significant time between '04 and '07 but that company doesn't consider time put in with them so beware or Swift and their fucked up practices.

Now I owe them $5,000 for "training" they'll never get back. Be careful is all I can say. I have a MUCH better job now.
@ssccrab Swift conintously shorted drivers miles on trips and more than likely failed to reimburse drivers on numerous trips. I found out about the reimbursement problem when I started incurring major expenses such as hotel when working on their Volvo Driveaway account and found out how fucked up Swift really was. Having to back track over three months worth of major expenses on my vacation time was a contributing factor to the final nail in the coffin and I'd walk for the final time in 2004.
@ssccrab now here is how judgmental a terminal mgr can be. Apparently in 2007 I tried returning to Swift only to be barred from going back out with a mentor since it has been awhile and that was based on a botched drive test where I was allowed to run the entire course and back. I was in the room when the person adminstering the drive test was speaking directly with the terminal mgr and my past work experience was overlooked. This is after I cleared their work well problem to. Go figure.
some decent parts on the video, a couple of funny moments, but dude, why would you want to show off your immaturity by running over the cones, if you are like this in school, then what will keep you from being this way on the road? bored or not, when your in a tractor-trailer, you need to be professional at all times
