He is some thing like the furious form of Lord Odin of the Norse culture, the Dog is the similarity. But in Hinduism, Shiva is the the most powerful energy in the universe he is the equivalent of destructive energy. Hindus believe in balance, he is the third balancing power of the world.

@PEDRO22is10 Exodus was written long before Jesus Christ lived... now, in every Christian church (especially Catholic) there are many, many, many graven images of Jesus, Mary, Joseph, angels and saints... many Christians bow down (genuflect) to them, and worship them. Now, Kalabhairava, Shiva, is not worshipped AS a graven image, but THROUGH the moorthi, or image of the deity. To self-realize is to realize self as God, which Kalabhairava, and the other Hindu Gods, have done. Honour to imbibe.

Muslims and Christians do NOT believe in diversity. It is either their way or a one-way ticket to hell. In India it is only the Hindus who are forced to say, "Eashwar Allah Tero Naam".
