  • @Andrewmcmelonse what the fuck? one, you are a racist bastard. two, the red tank isn't even attatched to the shuttle during reentry. get your facts right before you say something stupid.

  • wonder if nasa paid for damage to vehicle...

  • Yes NASA issued a total of 50,000 dollars in claims to home business, and car damages as a result of Space shuttle Columbia.

Source: CAIB (Columbia accident investigation board)

  • 4:08 wtf blaming an israley.

  • i think he meant that someone might not like a jewish person on board...not the israelies are to blame.

  • I watched this from my front yard in Dallas. Instead of a distant sonic boom it was a long rummbleing with a long and statified vepor trail. A friend of mine did the dive recovery for that piece that landed in the lake.

  • do u still have the piece

  • They recovered it for NASA

  • I remember hearing about this about four hours after it happened.

It's such a horrible thing that seven brave and valiant souls were lost.

  • how sad! :( RIP all crew! You will never be forgotten.

  • 84,000 pieces and not a single person from Texas was injured.

COLUMBIA - greatest shuttle ever used

RIP Brown, Husband, Clark, Chawla, Anderson, McCool, Ramon

  • We were on our way to take a private plane ride at Al Mangum Airport in Nacogdoches on this day. Because an 8:00am flight was not available, we scheduled the 9am flight. The shuttle came down at about 8:15. Pieces went all over Al Mangum Airport. I shutter to think my children, our pilot, and myself may have been up when the shuttle came down.-Rhonda, Lufkin Texas

  • I'm guessing the 8am flight wasn't an option because of Columbia coming back?

Whatever the case, it turned out well. I'm glad none of you got hurt.

  • You know, that never even crossed my mind about the possibility of the 8am not being available due to the shuttle coming overhead. You may be right!

  • Noooo So, Sad

  • 向英雄们致敬

  • OMG i remember that

    R.i.p all who died
