I watched this from my front yard in Dallas. Instead of a distant sonic boom it was a long rummbleing with a long and statified vepor trail. A friend of mine did the dive recovery for that piece that landed in the lake.

We were on our way to take a private plane ride at Al Mangum Airport in Nacogdoches on this day. Because an 8:00am flight was not available, we scheduled the 9am flight.
