I've been listening to Tsuchie, Force of Nature, Nujabes, Shing02, etc. for a long, long time, but I never truly knew what the genre is?? Could someone please tell me? I mean it couldn't be simply just Hip-Hop, right?

Cool Jazz , Jazz, Trip Hop elements , Downtempo ,also J-Hip Hop and Hip Hop and a few more all combined together. So there is no single genre .

@Powniiiiii it is still beeing Hip Hop. Has nothing to do with original forms of jazz, because it's looped and sampled.

It's just rather focused on the instrumental, I don't think it would sound proper if somebody rapped over it.

But triphop n shit is dance music, I wouldn't go clubbing to this track ^^

@TranceAdrenalineRush i categorize this type of music under a very broad "genre" called Downtempo. mostly electronic, this includes songs such as this, lounge, acid jazz, trip hop, etc etc all kinds of slower tempo, heavy looping music.
