Are you talking about the music video for "Another Brick in the Wall, pt 2", with all the school kids in it running around? It wasn't a censored version of this movie, the movie hadn't been filmed yet. It was made to promote the album release in 1979. The movie was released in 1982.

So it was! Well thats one thing I never knew lol. I just assumed they wer made and released same time (ish) Although the music vid is very tame compared to the film version!, Then there r the characters, the kids, the big hammers, the mincer! I wonder why they took so long to do a film?

It's based on Syd, but bits of it, like Pink trying to come to grips with his father dying in the war and the teacher reading the poetry in front of the class, were based on things that happened to Roger. But what's all this about the REAL version? Did someone release a censored version of this movie? This scene is ridiculously awesome and the movie wouldn't work without it.

In response to your query about a censored version of this YEAH THEY DID! It is a watered down (almost completely missing the point!) version, apparently made for Top of the Pops etc, tried to put a link in but it wont let me!

PS I know the film was only loosely base on Syd but the first review I ever read said it was so that's why I put that in!
