  • lol, mbp

  • My grandma likes this video.

  • citation required..

  • @idiotcorppresident You noob go play Games on Fucking TV With that fucking remote

  • @nandor690 Actually, more than you think. I know my grandma can't figure out how to switch to and from her Wii at all. She can barely do it with a list. It is frustrating to explain something so simple but I have to. I have my gaming computer hooked up to my 54 inch TV. It is so easy for me, but I am extremely proud that my grandpa can hook up his computer to his TV.

  • Are all Dev at google indian ?

  • Yawn!

  • Copy cat of Steve Jobs

  • Google TV !!

    Happy Holidays

    John Guitar Solo

  • at 3:37 come on

A small computer screen isn't a argument. You can easily connect your pc with the tv. Why is he not telling this? What google is promising I have been doing for at least 5 years. Also the cable cost only couple of bucks. The only argument is the customised User Interface for TV. Google makes internet tv more accessible, but it's nothing new or innovative. never the less it will probably work. how good will depend on how many channels n video-services on the web will come on bord

  • fuck that im not gone spend more than 300$ to hookup my tv to the internet i will tell you how and it not gone cost more than 30$ get a HDMI cable for 15$ hook your laptop to your tv you wll get full HD vision and get a wireless keyboard with a mouse for 15$ from walmart and here you go will have the full internet on your tv, beside windows did the same google tv idea 5 years ago with the windows media center.

  • @nayofa you are right. Still it might work, because many people are just lazy and don't want to take the affort to find out how to connect those two. On the other site the UI and the search engine might make a much better usibility..and usiblity is so often the key. the question is...will google manage to get enough free and qualitive content? I think google is doing a much better job in promoting than windows did in the past...will see

  • porn... DAMM SON

  • thank you for all being here? really?

  • I'm watching this on my new google tv right now. Still getting used to it but I'm enjoying it.

  • google tv or Playstation or xbox 360... choices..

  • how come everyone seems to be copying apples style of simplistic presentation? Get your own style.

  • they want to reinvent tv but can't even upload some small video clips in order

  • Its all about Google TV

  • Boogle!!

  • check this also

    live direct tv.com

  • There's stuff Google isn't allowed to do? Just show the whole video. Who's going to stop you?

  • That's a sad reality...

  • disapointed when i could not play music while using facebook nd twitter.. or is there a w'ay???

cant run to application at once..

  • funny how google is using an apple laptop wow

  • @capufo that is ironic.lol

  • @capufo ? what's wrong?

  • Thanks for spending 6 minutes telling us (people on the internet!!) what we already know, just show us GOOGLE TV!!!!

  • WTF is up with all the racists?

  • basically this is just a big company trying to sell another useless shiny device so the rich or technology geeks would buy it ... i mean come on ! i have a fuckin 32 inch HDLCD TV in my room and a great laptop that have all the apps i need and can connect it to my LCD .... why would i need your google expensive TV shit ???!

    i rather buy a better laptop ...

  • Apple wannabes. "T.V. it just works" and how stupid does this Indian think we are? How many people really can't find what input the tv is on.

  • What's up with all the east Indians and google. It looks like they have watched allot of apple presentations too.

  • Ive had a PC hooked up to my LCD screen via an HDMI cable for over 2 yrs...Google and apple are just packaging this in a box. !!!!!

  • @rodotubu true!

  • ...and everything that you watch will be sent to Google, even stuff on cable and over the air.

...and in due time, everything that you watch will have ads on top of it

Nah, thanks but no thanks, I'll stick with my PC connected to my TV and two Hauppauge cards.

I can do everything a Google TV does, and I've been doing it for the last seven years.

  • Is this Google India? WTF???

  • @yan6285 if it is google india then why does he have an american accent? aren't they suppose to have an indian accent..

  • google wave.....

  • Didn't Microsoft been thru this with WebTV in the 90s, maybe we're going back to that. But an updated version, but in the end it won't breakthru unless there's a way to deliver porn , cause porn is what advances all new technology

  • I don't spend 5 hours a day on tv, i used two years ago, today i spend maybe half hour scanning thru my dvr before i go to sleep. I spend most of my time online , just like every normal person these days

  • I don't know about everyone else, but if I had to choose between TV, and Internet, it's a no-brainer: Internet of course. There's nothing on TV I can't get easier on the Internet, and and most of what I watch / do on the Internet I can't get on TV at all. For me, a TV set / subscription would be a waste of time *and* money.

  • Apple laptop LOL

  • ( 5 hours per day. That's the average amount of time an American spends in front of the television. That's pretty amazing !!!!!????)

Since when watching to much TV is pretty amazing?

  • @OlsiMusic Exactly..thats not amazing, thats pretty damn scary. Kind of explains the obesity problem thou...INACTIVITY.

  • 3.30 : This guy never heard of a Video cable (HDMI/VGA)??? DUH!

I always connect my PC to the TV = web on TV :-P problem solved !

  • @Iocalhost yeah, but there are people that like the feeling that they don't have their normal pc turned on while sitting in front of the tv.

  • Nice introduction - But I am most concerning about the 'Framerate' issues that has had experienced based from slower downloading access from Internet TV connection, as was then, and shows heavy bad pixel video noises, although connected from ADSL 2+ with 1,000 Kbps. We just wanted Google TV to be 100% picture presentation w/o any pixel or framerate issue, as same as natural original traditional TV broadcasting video screens.

  • @Silencebound good point. going from internet to tv, i dont wanna have any frame rate problems on my crystal clear tv ! ! !

  • I spend maybe like 5 minutes on the TV daily :P haha

5 hrs on the internet lol

  • @kisgecc

    Cheap brainpower. duh

  • get a bigger pc screen.

  • This is pretty cool

I just hope its free, because Im not paying for this when I could already do the same things on my computer, and xbox

  • 5:10 we wont have freedom on the web anymore... fuck ACTA.

  • Google is Global and it will survive & succeed in a Globalization concept & phenomena. There is no race, religion, rank or class to divide or define who builds it or who's brain is behind the development and innovation.

  • So many Indians or Hindus, good for India. great country

  • google... that is not the future, this stuff has been out for years now.

  • Get your hype boots out! I've been doing this stuff for years using MythTV. Maybe they're refrying MythTV and calling it Google TV like they're doing with Linux while calling it Android.

  • Smartphone is the fastest growing tech

  • @CJFilmz. You do know the smartphone is the fattest gro

  • i like Google TV im the first to by go Google be the first on the market fk china

  • when is coming out googel tv im the first to by

  • @MrAlbaLive Think about it, you can surf the web on your Wii, or XBOX 360, you can get a cable to hook your TV to the internet, You can just stop watching TV and being on the computer, and do something like read a book or go outside. Do you still want one now? It's gonna be a waste of money. I'm just saying. (P.S you can get the cable at Radio Shack to surf the web on your T.V.)

  • Hey Google... You do realize that less than 30% of cell phone users have smartphones, right?

  • I Want One! When Will Google TV Come Out?!

I like Google, and I like TV.

I'm not embarrassed to say it, i'm a googleholic !

  • @Koman92040 Think about it, you can surf the web on your Wii, or XBOX 360, you can get a cable to hook your TV to the internet, You can just stop watching TV and being on the computer, and do something like read a book or go outside. Do you still want one now? It's gonna be a waste of money. I'm just saying. (P.S you can get the cable at Radio Shack to surf the web on your T.V.)

  • @luiscardenasguy I know what your talking about because i hook my computer up to the tv all the time by it dose not compare to this system. Too bad there is no way to beta this as i am a Google Beta tester.

  • @luiscardenasguy The cable is called an Ethernet cable...which is available in a lot of places.

And yeah, I could read a book or go outside. But why would I do that when there's the Internet?

  • very very many Indian man in Goolge

  • Noticed a note talking about not being able to watch full demo because of licensing issues???Still living in the last century....I'll be dead and gone before web and tv get together.Talk talk talk....but nothing changes.

  • Well, if Google owns the TV they officially own the world, I mean at this rate they beat Microsoft.

  • YO KUMAR!

    from harold and lumar :)

  • The indian version of Steve Jobs? lol

  • @clevelandcomputerguy lol soooooooooo true

  • @clevelandcomputerguy good point, except hes not wearing jeans nor a turtleneck nor a pair of sketchers.

  • @clevelandcomputerguy LMAO.....I was just thinking that.

  • @clevelandcomputerguy edit. a passionate version of Steve Jobs.

  • @clevelandcomputerguy I was just thinking that. "We are going to change the future."

  • @clevelandcomputerguy You must be kidding, have you ever seen Steve Jobs keynotes ?Its ok to appreciate Rishi Chandra but dont insult Steve Jobs by comparing him with this moron

  • @rahulspider i dont think he'd be up there in google if he was a moron...just saying lol

  • @clevelandcomputerguy

    Stjve Iob!

  • @clevelandcomputerguy

LOL Yeah, I don't like that.

    Perhaps they know each other?

  • WTF is "Google TV"?

  • Check out my GoogleTV remote:

It's on my videos (cant' post link here)

Logitech controller is not easy to hold (for channel/web surfing) not ergonomic.

  • My xbox is better than this :p

  • @kalpeshblue2 Fuck off! The Xbox doesn't even have a web browser!

  • you fucking idiots, you give us this video without a playlist wtf am i supposed to do? WHERE IS THE NEXT ONE!

    please and thank you please

  • @samerziadeh Well if you had half a brain, you'd notice "Due to licensing and permissions issues, we are unable to show the full Google TV demonstration from the Day 2 keynote at Google I/O. Until we are able to get these permissions, please check out these clips."

  • @samerziadeh I knoww, but its in the description. Kind of weird google can't show us google

  • People with know how have been doing this for a while now. Ive got my laptop connected, through HDMI, and my TV can already do picture in picture, so I can watch TV at the same time as I surf the internet.

  • I can wait for Google TV and the announcement : "This web site / TV-show is not available in your region due to licensing and permissions issues".

    Really Google, WTF?

  • I don't get it . . . I've just watched this video on my 46inch wide-screen TV. Because I have a PC plugged into it. Internet on the TV is hardly radical . . .

  • when does this comeout?

  • They set the launching of smartphones in 2007 ... iPhone =D ?

  • My PS3 already does a good job of this...

Its got a full web browser, plays flash (listening Apple?)

I can also stream music and videos from my PC seamlessly (even 1080p)

Most importantly i can put in a game (or Blu-Ray, CD, or DVD) and play it.

  • Google didn't heard about hdmi cable for pc / or blu-ray players with web video channels support ? ;P lammmme ;P

they just wann to press another google(r) (c) technology on a market

  • I'm pissed that I can't watch the second part.

  • yes! i live in usa and i watch 0 hours of tv per year!woot! [not kidding]

  • @pkersoul: Me too, lol. It just DISGUSTS me that Americans watch such an ABSURD amount of mind-numbing-brain-dead-vegetating-tv everyday. It's a disgrace!! Yet we wonder why we are so much dumber than we ever have been, and so little educated. So ignorant and uncivilized.

  • it's been 2 weeks! upload the whole keynote google!

  • im wondering why this is on GoogleDevelopers

  • when will we be able to see the entire Google TV demonstration?

  • if they use 3G tecnology for the internet through TV i will happily get this. although slightly pointless i like using laptop and Tv sepratly but at same time

  • So it's like.... tv on demand with invasive ads and no way to skip them.

  • Please add those demos to youtube!

  • he is very wrong about this cuz most ppl have already choosen web since hulu and fancast and even itunes and sites that illegal show show's we now can watch anything we just miss on tv a lil bit after it just came on or the following day either illegaly or llegally

  • what??? cannot watch the whole keynote? what a crap!!

  • Is that so called OPEN? You even can not watch the whole Keynote. What ridiculous!

  • It's been over a week since the Google TV demonstration at Google I/O 2010. Haven't Google gotten permission yet from the respective copyright holders of the content shown in the Google TV demonstration?

Eager to see the whole action that day with actual media on running Google TV.

  • Am I the one to realize he's mimicking Jobs' style?

  • @Leeate You mean Steve Jobs patented "Using hand gestures while making a presentation"?

  • @Leeate No, I think, he is using Scott Forestall's way.

  • when will the complete keynote be uploaded?

  • Wow...while I think Google TV looks sexy, every time I watch a video about it, I keep thinking about the book Fahrenheit 451...

    Anyone agree?

  • Not really worth watching this video as it's just a trailer for an advert! Sorry to say this is a thumbs down :/

  • I plug HDMI from laptop to TV, spdif from soundcard to surround sound receiver, sit back with wireless keyboard and mouse and go about my interneting...no special device or software needed. Been doing this for 4 or 5 years...how does Google simplify this equation? Problem is less than 1% of media deserves any mindshare, and that's a generous estimate

  • lol

    he asks and he answers

  • indian man Google!!!

  • Steve Jobs style

  • How about giving them numbers so we know which order they should be seen in?

  • LOL is:

    Google and Apple aren't "friends"....

And Google could use Chrome OS PCs...

Mac is the best computer. I use a one, too.

  • @EiPott14Gs Our school computer lab has both PCs and Macs. I never use the Macs I only use the PCs. I used a Mac a couple times when a PC wasn't available. I really don't care for Macs. Apple products are mostly slickery hype with no substance IMO.

  • @elpresidio Sorry, but Macs are the better pcs...My Mac mini G4 with 1.33 is faster than a i5 2.5xxx Computer from Dell.

  • @EiPott14Gs its all preference and you obviously are pretty ignorant to the PC world so you cant really say I at least know the hardware specs and have seen benchmarks tested on both the top of the line Macs and some modern PCs and depending on what PC you get/build for yourself usually a PC will be better but its hard to say because there is so much variance in PC's and not so much in the mac world theyre all just slightly above avg PC's are all across the board with some being way above avg.

  • @EiPott14Gs You are going by personal tastes. I'm going by hard data. Numbers. Facts. Measurable. The marketshare reflects that. Whatever a small minority think, the large majority is what counts. Those numbers are in favor of PCs. Not a personal opinion, just hard cold quantifiable statistical facts.

  • @EiPott14Gs Lol @ "Mac is the best computer." R u serious?

  • @EiPott14Gs First off, Chrome OS is not a traditional OS and it's not out yet.

Secondly, unlike Apple Fanboys like you, Apple is a business. Businesses make money. Business don't intentionally make enemies out of other businesses. Google and Apple may compete in some areas, but they also work together in other areas.

And lastly, you're paying extra to look "hip" not because it's better. It's the same hardware. Macs don't come from pixie dust I'm afraid.

  • @DoubleX31 It's funny to see, how stupid the microsoft idiots are........

  • @EiPott14Gs Funny to see how delusional Apple fanboys are.

  • It's about time. There are many people who have great ideas like this but don't have the resources to implement it. We need to wait for a platform to come around so we can build apps for the next revolution in communication. Hazzah!!! On demand, interactive!!! Only sports and breaking news should be live..............

  • What about me, I'm watching TV much less then surfing web and watching movies on my laptop or PC.

  • LOL! Google is using Apple Macs :D

  • @EiPott14Gs soo... it might be a big deal if someone working for microsoft were using a mac

  • @EiPott14Gs So? What's "LOL" about that?

  • XD i always had HTPC in my living room and always had a tv card in my pc...

@EiPott14Gs lol why not? Mac's are actually good

  • Goggle TV should shrink ads into icon size and roll them into a banner at the bottom so they won't interrupt the viewers until viewers click to enlarge really viewing it.

  • @beancube2010 i giggled.

  • One Google product that doesn't excite me.

  • isnt this the guy who introduced Conan...bastard, he became famous!!

  • Wrong, people spend more time on internet than on tv now.

  • Comment removed

  • indians in google rock!

  • This would be part six of day 2 right?

  • steve jobs clone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • " Due to licensing and permissions issues, we are unable to show the full Google TV demonstration from the Day 2 keynote at Google I/O. Until we are able to get these permissions, please check out these clips."

WTF google owns youtube and its their vid.

  • @badjer1785 lol well its google's video so if they dont want it on youtube then thats that. video games have a nda and if any gameplay footage is on youtube then it will get ripped down quick so yeah

  • @badjer1785 TV show footage, Time Warner with their foot up everyone's ass.

  • @badjer1785 I think they have a video showing some movies on samsung TV ;)

  • @badjer1785 probably used someone elese's patents for UI or hardware.

  • @badjer1785

TV works because it is the only media to engage 2 senses at one time.

Internet works best because it's the only media that engages 3....audio, visual and knowledge

  • @badjer1785 Google TV is a partnership between Google, Intel, Sony, and Logitech. Google doesn't own the other 3 companies so they don't have full rights and licensing permissions. My best guess anyway?

  • Been looking to get rid of cable- would this require anything other than a web connection? Are they letting people beta test this or anything?

  • presque inaudible, m^^eme avec le son au maixmum !

  • holy crap get to the point already

  • what's the name of the song at 0:12 :D

  • Love love love gTv

  • Love the solo clap @ 4:45. LOL

  • Google is what Apple used to be. They will soon be what Apple is now. Overrated and cocky with what they do. I LOVE apple products, but them as a company, I have lost a lot of faith in them...

  • @MikeMayhem1234 apple has never been like google. and I sincerely doubt that google will ever turn into a miniature copy komunist Russia.

  • @MikeMayhem1234 have you lost your mind? Google turn into apple? If you've watched the whole of Google i/o, you'll realize their main point was to emphasize on openness. I have a feeling that this was due to the recent issues that Apple made with their apps policy change.

  • This guy has hand gestures and mannerisms too much like steve jobs

  • that guy looks like jeff goldblum's brother.

  • Surely this is not about licensing issues (it was streamed live) but about hiding the clumsy failures (blamed on Bluetooth) in what was a lacklustre Google TV demo. Shame.

  • As if it's not enough that the Keynote is split into many pieces, now they removed the numbering from the titles? srsly?

  • Your licensing and permissions issues prevent you from showing how horribly awry the demonstration went? That's just weird.

  • I hope all settop boxes will run Android! That will keep Google alive from the advertising and they can continue to give us free and open stuff! :D

  • @Welocy or it will just give them more products to advertise on.

  • @HuntingJake there will be an ad blocker!!!!
