  • I guess the TRUE MARTIAL ARTS school are soooo trained in the classical way that they did not even place. If you know your history, the Hung Mun is the gradfather of the lion dance. It was this organization who hide their Martial Art in the lion dance to avoid the ban of Martial Arts by the Ching Dynasty

  • Man i love Choy lee Fut style

  • how the give mark i wan see

  • My theory on why Boston Freemason didn't win this tournament is that they are not classically trained the way other Schools are. Boston Freemasons play hoops, v-ball, etc. They're not skilled Martial Artists so they don't have the flexibility and depth of Lion Dancers from TRUE Martial Arts Schools.

I think that's the glaring difference between "Dance Troupes" and hard-core Martial Artists. The NY Masons on the other hand may be different from Boston.

  • him stepping on the snake was pretty funny

  • This should have won 1st place hands down

  • seriously the head sit to the spider then to the roll is awesome.. fantastic job!

  • when i was at the show i didnt think this team did good enough to finish in the top 3. After watching this on video i realize how wrong i was. this routine (mistake free) woulda got these guys the win and deservedly so. so them getting 3rd is def justifiable. the move from 1:20 - 1:35 already blows all the other teams below 3rd place away.

  • it seems to me that asiansilky made a good point about having a degree of difficulty and creativity. they tried to do a snake routine and that's creative because i didnt see a snake till it moved. they did their best. reppin boston, y'all!

  • I was at the tournament and i thought you guys should of taken second over the ny masons. a side from going way over the 5 min mark and the head almost falling on the jump, you guys put on a decent show and at least you were in full uniform.

  • thank you. but it is what it is i guess. not every show is going to go the way you want it to go. shit happen's.

  • dude how did the head guy screw up putting on the lion head geez!

  • yea i saw it..this performance was pretty sloppy..and i think it was supposed to be 5 minutes it went way over the time limit

  • the game was fake

  • r u saying they dont deserve #3?

  • at least they shouldnt got that higher scores!!

these judges are tha problems and they cut it to 5 minutes from 15 and said no standin on the shoulders, thats y u saw the first team Wing Hong Yip's school did a very short perform with two tall guys

  • they didnt stand on shoulders..no teams did

  • as both freemasons did like 9 minutes somthin over the time limit and boston were failin at 3:12 like jerky

they still got like 9,10 points

s it make any sense to u?

  • i know you are affiliated with choy lee fut or something, im not going to start bashing their routine but any experienced lion dancer can tell why they did not place top 3. Time limit...i think 9 minutes of good lion dancing is better than 5 minutes of straight boredom. As to replying to ur comment, yes they were unstable but they never touched the floor nor fell, and no other teams in the tournament could even match the difficulty of their moves they would scored higher than them.

  • stfu choy la fut is wack

  • I was'nt there but so I don't know if they went over the time limit or not, but what I do know is that, since there from my city(Boston), I know how they lion dance and they lion dance like this, its there style, and especially the drumming, again, its there style, so what you think is sloppy might not be.

  • are you sure this is Boston Freemasons? don't like it.
