  • What is the name of the song that is played during Nina and Alexanders death in the show? I love that sad music.

  • Comment removed

  • well, ok, i take that back, it's not a happy song, but it's not a dark depressing cloud one.

  • HAPPY SONG!!! All the others are all sad and depressing :( they're still good though

  • im gonna play this on my cello ....and then i will b awesome +_+

  • i remember that in the end, when ed proposed to winry (best scene ever), this music popped up

and NOTICE how ed always says, "winry and the others"

  • @DamnationDaniel I just want to live in a town with a family like Ed's dad or Ed and Winry with all my current friends living there. The whole view from the town is just amazing too :'( I wish it was real D':

  • @ivannagy28 i know the feeling. It's just right, you know? It can be real, it just depends on how dedicated you are to building a family i guess. and every town has it's beauty.

  • @DamnationDaniel That is true but it will take me AGES to find a town that has all the houses far from the "centre" and you'd have to walk there to get the train,or go to the shop if you get what I mean :P And it will also take me ages to find a wife haha This song is really sad and so is Trisha's Lullaby D':

  • All things are balanced. In this sense, only neutrality seems to be truly everlasting.

  • Equivalent Exchange is fake.

As this beautiful music is presented upon me, what do I have to offer in exchange?

  • @ShadowiGeneral Time, and the ability to appreciate

  • @WanderingPup Touché, my friend. Touché.

  • @ShadowiGeneral Offer your gate? You don't need it bro, you have friends.

  • @ShadowiGeneral The time that you spend listening that you will never get back...

Sure you may not want to spend it anywhere else, but that doesn't change the fact that it was exchanged in order to listen to this work of art.

With that logic equivalent exchange is in fact correct, for no matter what you do you exchange your time to do it.

  • @ShadowiGeneral It is not fake. You offer your time in exchange.

  • @hitenken1 The original anime proved it was fake. Izumi's baby son died soon after birth, where was the equivalence in that? And in real life, people do abortions as soon as the baby is born, sometimes even when in the stomach! Also consider miscarriages and such.

So where is the equivalence in that?!

  • @ShadowiGeneral the original anime wasn't the original at all. brotherhood is the anime version of the original story

  • @mangagirl216 Well no, the first series was original in its own sense. It wasnt adapted from anything, the writers just rewrote nearly the entire story. Brotherhood is just an animated copy of the manga. So thats what i meant by "original." But i understand your point of view.

  • @ShadowiGeneral A lesson.

  • Lovely music

  • When I started Brotherhood I was actually a little bit worried that the music would pale in comparison to FMA. But this song stays with me in my head and heart all the time.

  • Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood is not an ordinary anime,

    Its "something"

  • For those who wants to download themes watch this video

    /watch?v=Qd9WlMk-62Q&feature=related

and go to description. Theres a free download link :P

  • This song is way too short

  • @DjShini That's the equivalence in such a beautiful song...

  • I WILL LOVE THIS SONG 4EVER

  • i want mp3 link :(

  • @THEDOOMQ8 just convert :)

  • Its songs like these that put this soundtrack up there with that of LOST.

  • I like turtles.

  • anyone know where i can get sheetmusic for this on violin? D:

  • Killed a bear....

  • My favorite song in this whole series.

  • Magical.

  • @narushipfan1 Cool stroy bro.

  • @narushipfan1 Sure*

    Know*

Fag- Meaning changes depending on context, fag could mean cigarette, it can also be an offensive term for someone who is gay. It can also be a casual insult used towards people who act like idiots.

Oh and by the by, removing your comment doesn't exactly inspire me to see your opinions as valid if even you take them down for being incorrect.

  • @narushipfan1 Actually in all fairness my comment was quite sound in it's logic and meaning. If you lack the intelect to understand it then thats nobodys problem but your own. Also it would be wise not to presume what I meant, I said narutos over rated, that wasn't even putting it down as I didn't say it was bad. So stop being a presumptuous fag and make sure you know what you're talking about before commenting.

  • The first three notes don't at all go with the rest of the song.

  • @narushipfan1 Unfortunatly narutos a very over-rated anime so can't be involved in this discusion.

And lets be honest, excluding dbz, the most OP person ever is alucards level 0 form in the hellsing ultimate anime. He would turn naruto into dog shit... quite litteraly.

  • @jackalhunt1 Thank you Alucard would own naruto

  • @ppayne95 As long as it's the 'Adrian Fahrenheit Tepes' Alucard, the original Alucard, son of Dracula. Not Dracula from Hellsing who decided to reverse his name.

  • @narushipfan1 Naruto couldnt take on the flame alchemist and live. he fails

  • @22rcam no deal you give me half of you life and ill give you half of my cookie

  • @itachiuchiha1335 Seems fair. :D

  • @22rcam no deal you give me half of you life and ill give you half of my cookie

  • @itachiuchiha1335 No deal. If you give me Half your Philosopher Stone and Your Life I'll give you 10$ and a Old Shoe.

  • i lovvveeed this anime but my favorite anime is one piece, and i dont like neither bleach or naruto

  • dude i finished fmab what the fuck do i do now life is boring lol

  • @VampireMockingbird

No, that one's called "Requiem for the Brigadier General", I think

  • I actually enjoy animes that are in full control of their plotlines much more than the very long, endless, chock-full-of-filler animes that seem to be so popular. I just generally think that concise storytelling, when done correctly, is much more rewarding. These are just my tastes, but it makes shows like Cowboy Bebop, Gurren Lagann, Death Note, Evangelion, Baccano!, Paranoia Agent, FLCL, and FMAB much more endearing and memorable than Naruto/Bleach/One Piece, etc...

  • @Seraphimal Sometimes the short ones are the best, ya know?

  • is this the music they played at hughes's funeral

  • Favourite soundtrack by far<3

  • omg guys stop comparing animes. obviously not all animes are going to be the same but anyways beautiful song <3

  • love such as what is seen in the series is not seen in reality

  • It made naruto pathetic, granted I never liked the jump suit clad punk

  • This is so beautiful, makes you want to cry from how gorgeous it is.

  • Les musiques de cet animé, lorsqu'on l'a regardé, nous prennent vraiment aux tripes ... Que de nostalgie ...

  • @MyNameIsVen Sorry to jump in, but actually the first anime was the original, as it finished before the manga and it's plot was designed by the mangaka although it strays from the manga.

  • I like one piece. Fullmetal alchemist though. There is no anime that can beat fmab :)

  • Relationships used to be like that at one point now you see alot of cheating and lying. I would give 2 of my limbs for that

  • Whats that song that starts to play in fmab episode 5 when ed and al are sitting on that... fountain? in the rain just before scar attacks??

  • @SammysGirl14 Trisha's Lullaby

  • "Hahahahaha!"

    "Hey, stop! Ed!!"

"Sorry! You really are amazing! You're able to overturn the law of equivalent exchange so easily!"

"What?! Are you making fun of me?"

"I'm not. Actually, you cheered me up. Thank you. I'll be back soon."

  • A lot of people go, "why did fma brotherhood have to end" but im actually glad it did. ya see, when shows drag on for 100s and 100s of episodes, it can make it go bad. take naruto for instance. it just goes on for way to long, towards the point were they make too many characters, and you dont care for most of em, and it just gets boring. were as shows that have a good amount of episodes (fma) gives them the perfect time to make you understand the universe, like the chars, and like them. fmab ftw

  • ~Sighs~ Full metal alchemist Brotherhood, why did you had to end..

  • fma is beualtifull and we cant descibe it in words the end

  • Clannad can back this up as well! 24 Episodes long and the sequel is 24 episodes as well. Along with the movie it's another pretty short anime. And EVERY BIT OF IT IS AMAZING!!! The tears never stopped.

Even the regular TV shows are rather short. 1 Litre of Tears was only 14 episodes plus a movie. And that was killer to my heart. I love sad shows.

  • Strong spirits are taken by shots not by the glass.

If you have too much FMA you'd never leave the house again and you'd dedicate your whole life to finding out how to make alchemy. So they made it short and sweet, for us to enjoy but not lifelessly obsess over, for us to Love and long after instead of being completely drunk in euphoric fantasy as to lose complete touch with reality.

Looking to the heavens, your dreams cause Euphoria, but realizing how far away you stand fuels Melancholy.

    ~

  • "A lesson without pain is meaningless. That's because no one can gain something without sacrifice, but by enduring that pain and overcoming it - he shall obtain a powerful unmatched heart. A Fullmetal Heart."

  • FMA - 54 episodes.

    FMAB - 64 episodes.

    Shaman King - 64 episodes.

    Death Note - 37 episodes.

    Code Geass - 50 Episodes

    Blood+ - 47 Episodes

All sorts of my favorite anime, and all rather short. Short anime can be quite amazing, eh?

  • @KuriballFTW6 lol the - before the numbers makes them look like negatives

  • @lollypop292 Next time I'll use the squiggly. ~

  • I love this one. It creates an image in my mind of Risembool, Ed and Al walking through the rolling green hills. Amazing<3

  • i do this song in a guitar

    coming soon

  • best soundtrack in fullmetal

  • Oh, I love this song it's so elegant!

  • I ♥ this soundtrack!!!

  • I listen to this song and look outside. I can see the green trees, hear the birds singing, feel the rays of the sun on my skin... I close my eyes and whisper "Home sweet home".

Thumb up if this song makes you appreciate your home more.

  • @mimithefmafan

These japanese composers use magic, don't they?

  • @MuKo18 you mean alchemy

  • @MuKo18 They don't use magic, they use alchemy.

  • @jdave17 if the use Alchemy then what did they Sacrifice, because of the "Equivalent Exchange it they make this kind of music!?!

  • @Fyriaan they sacrifice their sad emotions because it is equivalent...

  • @MuKo18 hell yeah!! :)

  • yes it was very sad.Its the best anime is what it is. I was very touched it in sequence with the girl and the dog's.And transmuted into a Chimähre where Dr.Knocks was crying because his family returned

  • @endorianki My first anime was death note, yes it was amazing, but the next anime I watched was bleach, not as good but I try not to compare them, point is if you try not to compare animes, other ones will start becoming better.

  • @great112211

You shouldn't have started with Death Note, man. Everything seems dull after that masterpiece.

  • @Gipshaw Not true. I've watched a lot after DN and I found it way more interesting than DN.

  • @Swordsmanofthedark

    :O

Name one show--ONE SHOW! That's more interesting than DN, and if it doesn't satisfy me SO HELP ME I WILL...

    Must....calm...down..

  • @Gipshaw Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Fullmetal Alchemist (obviously), Code Geass.

To be honest, it's all opinion but I found DN so BORING. It wasn't that entertaining to me. It was really just a teenager with a lot of power trying to be God.

So basically Code Geass without the mecha, blood, boobs, and eye power. Only DN came first.

  • @Swordsmanofthedark

*gasp* No! NOOO!!! I've seen all those shows, and DN walks all over them!

Wait...by Fullmetal Alchemist, do you mean Brotherhood, or the older one?

  • @Gipshaw Both, to be honest, and like I said it's all opinion, to me DN is nothing more than a show about a teenager killing people and trying to justify it. Which is all well and good, it has it's audience and all, but to me it just isn't worth all the hype and I don't find it so entertaining.

  • @Swordsmanofthedark

I found Death Note to be far more engaging and rewarding than Code Geass, because it didn't overrely on intrusive fanservice, mecha violence, simplistic obstacle-solving, and largely unconvincing character motivations/powers... Death Note was just generally more cerebral, realistic, original, intense and introspective than Code Geass, which I guess is more rewarding to me. Code Geass had its moments, but never even came close to Death Note for me.

  • @Seraphimal

That being said, I still think there are other animes out there as interesting as Death Note. NGE. TTGL. FLCL. Samurai Champloo. Cowboy Bebop. Baccano!. Akira (I know its a movie, but good God is it wonderful, especially considering it came out in the '80s).

Regular Show and Moral Orel and Squidbillies and Invader Zim are also pretty fun. But they're not anime.

    lol.,

  • @Gipshaw there are lots of animes more interesting than death note. I liked it but It's not the best thing in the world. I've watched way more compelling anime. Hell Code Geass was DN with mecha and I liked Code Geass better. Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo take the top of my anime list. I'm just gonna tell you to watch them to avoid hype working against you.

  • @iluvdrakeandjosh

I seen them all, but DN was something special. It just had this...something, that made it better than all the rest. If only I could put this "thing" into words, maybe i could convince you of it's awesomeness.

  • @Gipshaw You can't really convince me of it's "awesomeness"...I've seen it before it got hyped up to me by other people, another viewing after that, AND i read the manga, I know what I think about it. It didn't have that "something" for me. It was a guy who killed people for the "better good" and things got out of hand. That's it. Everything else I listed had "it" though. But if you've seen them and don't like them as much then okay that's you. I didn't know if you'd seen them or not O:

  • @Gipshaw -continuation- I still liked it though don't get me wrong XP

  • full metal alchemist is one of the best anime created period:)

  • I fucking LOVE this song and FMA:Brotherhood is and will be my favorite anime of all mankind

  • goodness, how i love waltzes

  • 2 people are transmutated stinkers

  • Just finished the series finally. I feel stupid for waiting over a year to actually bother watching it. This anime is amazing and is one of the greatest of all time hands down.

  • i rlly cant believe its over... :'( FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST AND FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST BROTHERHOOD FOREVERRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Joemamma jerk

  • For those who are screwed because they don't know what series to watch after this try Black Butler also known as Kuroshitsuji you will be pleased and start using the word indeed alot i did. :)

  • @animemusicFCB It's hilarious, and there's a lot of hinted yaoi fanservice o_O But I'm fine with it since I watched Hetalia ^^

  • all of you people who are bashing shows like bleach and naruto should stop, you say it has no plot but you are wrong just like the people who say FMA has no plot (i'm not sure if anyone here has said it but i've heard it before) Every anime has a plot to it but some show it is fewer episodes then others and 9 out of 10 times you should read the manga first because it is better and shows the plot more since there aren't fillers to get in the way of the story.

  • 64 episodes is in no way short. C'mon guys, an entire season of anime is about 13 episodes, or 26. There are only a few series (most of which aren't even very good) that could qualify as a full series if your criteria were set in stone. And Bleach doesn't even have a fecking plot, for God's sake.

  • Bleach/Naruto are mindless entertainment compared to FMA, Code Geass, Eureka 7, Gundam, lots of other animes. To put it in a way, it's like comparing Rugrats (Lots of episodes, very enjoyable, but no series plot or character development, the very simple theme of constant adventure to keep your mind going) to teen titans ( a more mature cartoon, with character development, plot development, episode themes can switch from adventure, action, relationships, even random racing.)

    ~

  • @ArhkXi I agree with that. Naruto is getting more and more mindless; but it isn't the mangaka's fault - it's the propensity for profit that drives the anime company to keep on creating mindless fillers that focus on state rather than process; there is no character development to that, just pure hedonism, vacuous utilitarianism, seeing full-hearted entertainment as an end by itself. Unfortunately this cannot be helped because the mainstream mindset is just - that.

  • @creamie123 did u take AP English sir?

  • @moah2012 No, I only take Vitamin tablets.

  • I woke up today and started to listen to fmab op 5, I'm on episode 52 and I don't want to see the last episode. Cause when I'm done with the series what am I supose to watch then? Cause what can u watch afther have seen such a great serie?

  • @IchigoKittyNyan

watch it again? lol, i might do that, i'm on episode 61!!!! so sad!!!!! almost done, i wanna cry :'(

  • @IchigoKittyNyan I know how you feel :( FMAB was my first real anime- huge mistake, since no others could truly live up to standard after that. I can suggest a good few for you, but none of them will feel just right after you finish this series and realize just how great it is :/

  • @IchigoKittyNyan So true. I don't think anything can match up to who amazing and heartbreaking this series was. It's one of the first animes that I have ever felt the proper emotion of each scene! It was so well made and you can really feel the emotion behind every scene!

  • "Next time in FMAB:end of the trip"

  • @TheDragonbel OMFG LUCKY

  • This reminds me of the best anime ever! It gives me goosebumps!

    Replay button for myself: >> 0:00 <<

  • i dreamed i was winry.. GREAT DREAM!

  • I was listening to this while on BART the other day and felt so relaxed, like I was on a train to Resembool! ^-^

  • In the beginning of this, I imagine the brothers coming home with a smile, but a smile that's still shows the slightest sadness underneath that mixes in with the happiness of returning home..

All FMA:B songs either give me chills/make me ponder about all of reality and life @_@

    Not complaining! Lol. Love it..

  • @RandomMajin I believe its Laws of Alchemy?

  • A Fullmetal Heart

  • It's an awesome song, I loved it in the episode previews. Which one is the other episode preview song?

  • This theme pierced me through the (figurative) heart. Been a while, so I'm particularly glad I marathoned this show these past few days.

  • I love this song, brotherhood has a much better story. Winry and Riza are some of the greatest characters period. They also were perfect girlfriends for Ed and Roy. I would kill to have either of those kinds of relationships. Too many people seem to not understand symbolism, gratitude and affection. Making a pie is a wonderful gesture.. and it was very sad circumstances and events. If you really watched and understood the series, you would know why it was so heartbreaking.

  • @kitsunenoyumeps3 i gotta agree with you but you know how some people are, they only thinks about themselves and forget that something as simple as an apple pie can mean alot to someone.

  • @kitsunenoyumeps3 Aye, you really learn to appreciate an apple pie if you constantly have to live a life of battles, worry, possible death, and looming, ever-present but mysterious threat. Winry baked so much into that apple pie, those people just can't understand it. I agree with you as well.

  • @endorianki lol when i fight a battle to save the country then loose some of my best friends all i want to do is eat some apple pie.

  • @endorianki Not sure about that ... to me, life is just about having the most fun and getting the most out of everything: money, food, drinks, drugs, tobacco, drinking, smoking, lust, fashion and material possessions like children, houses, power and everything. The ultimate aim of humans is to seek happiness - to work and earn enough to afford to be hooked up to an entertainment system for the rest of one's life.

  • @creamie123 I wasn't talking about what you enjoyed, however normal it might be. You have your own philosophy of life, okay, I'm not arguing- I was just commenting on how people don't understand someone else's viewpoint, in this case the appreciation of symbolistic pie.

  • @endorianki Er ... okay ... not sure what that means. I thought everyone pursued the same thing.

  • @creamie123 ... no....

do you think a drug addict upon the streets would have the same dreams, the same goals to pursue as say, a scientist (Or an alchemist =P )? But it doesnt matter. there's no room here for an argument over the nature of humans..

  • @creamie123 you do realize you just quoted Greed's introduction speech almost word for word, right? :P

  • @storyteller427 Of course I did, but what's wrong with that? I am Greed, I covet for everything in this world, every quote, and every whim. I want the world. I want the universe. I want god. I want truth. And then ... I want you ...

  • @creamie123 . . . . 0_o oooohhkayyy then . . . *locks her windows*

  • @kitsunenoyumeps3

I still liked the original more. Don't get me wrong, for the most part, this series was really good. But the show went seriously down hill around the 5th season, that act seriously dragged to whole show down. I kinda liked the ending, but the whole way their battle with "Father" went down was really disappointing. Not to mention the dialog and voice acting in the dub got a lot worse around that point, but maybe the original would fair better on that account.

  • @Gipshaw the thing is, brotherhood is the original, the "original" your talking about strayed off from the actual manga which is what all animes go on imo i like the way things turned out in brotherhood cuz if "Father" still had the power he got from amestris he would practically be unbeatable

  • @Gipshaw read the manga

  • @Gipshaw "the original" your talking about wasn't the original at all. It was fullmetal alchemist in namesake but strayed very far off the manga whose name it was using early on in the show. Just wanted to point that out because it seemed to em that you thought it was the "real" one.

Also that's why I hate dub. Subs all day. Near the end they really put their all into it.

  • @iluvdrakeandjosh

Oh, right, I knew that. heh, I just used the wrong wording. I much preferred the older FMA to the newer "original" one. It was much more...normal. Less over the top, and the characters seemed more human.

The dub in the old/er FMA was handled much better, and the emotional scenes and dialog were way better than the piece of work that was the Brotherhood Dub. I actually preferred the dub of the first show to the sub, it was THAT good, although Ed sounds too old for his age. xD

  • @Gipshaw oh okay XD that's you. I liked it too then I saw the newer one and I just couldn't watch the older one again. It was dead to em , for lack of better words. My friend is the exact opposite. Opinions, opinions :O

Oh and in the older FMA that was one of the few times where I actually liked the dub. I actually watched it on TV when I could because it was amazing :D we agree on something. The Brotherhood Dub was good too but not to the point where I'd seek it out myself. The sub was great.

  • @kitsunenoyumeps3 Indeed. I also love that there are so many diff interesting characters. I've counted that there are abt 18 female supporting characters. *2 thumbs up* to the author.

  • Those 2 people who disliked this are stupid this is beautiful :'(

  • Heyy were can i get the guitar version of this song..?

  • @rtyankeedoodle I would suggest youtube.com

  • On the story level, yes a symbolistic reading can work. But the action has to fit in with the character.

For instance, Winry was looking forward to the experience of cooking the pie and eating it with Hughes and his family. Now she'll never be able to have that experience, so she feels bad. She also just recently came into their lives, so she may think that if she and the Elrics never game Hughes would be still alive, which further makes her sad.

  • Great piece!! I don't know why, but the beginning of it reminds me of "Brothers" from the first FMA.

  • SYMBOLISM people. The pie is this. It represented happiness and a simple life. The apple pie represented everything nice and care free and what it would be like if Hughes was still alive and Winry could of been with them and they would be like one big happy, corny family. But Hughes was killed, this didn't happen, and Winry didn't get to give him her pie. You see? To quote Bad movie Beat-down, SYMBOLISM!

  • Why is it that when you type lullaby of resembool into the search engine it automatically completes it for you but spells resembool "risembool"??

  • Why di I always almost cry vhen i hear this? :'<

  • i freaking, absolutely, HATE Winry!! She's been my most LEAST favorite character in FMA. i'd always hate when she'd hit Ed whenever he'd bust his automail. And!! She is such a friggin' cry baby!! Like in one of the episodes she was all like ("aw, now that hughes is dead, he won't get to try my pie!!" *sobs*) I just wanted to go in there and bitch slap the blond inside of her!! I despise her more for marrying Edward!! See what I mean? all the hits to the head that she gave him messed him up!! >:O

  • @pnar13 That's mean!!! She wanted him to try the pie, and bake it for him, to show how greatful she was that he let her stay at his house, and for watching Edward for her! Why's everyone hate her?!?

  • @verypen so if I stayed at your place, I would make you a lousy, friggin' pie out of gratitude for letting me stay?....how's a PIE gonna show gratitude?! I'm sorry, I just can't see how that's enough for letting her stay at their place. Maybe if she'd gotten them somethig more, i dunno, USEFUL! I mean, you can make a pie any day! I'm just saying! =/

  • @pnar13 Well, they didn't ask for payment in the first place! And she wanted to show him what his wife taught her. I thought that episode was insanely sad, actuallyl

  • @verypen I found it sad too, it's just that part with Winry that got me mad...but it's just a pie and nothing to cry over if he didn't get to try it....oh well....

  • @pnar13 The pie isn't ALL it was about, though! It was about everything else! It was that she never got to properly thank him, and she felt sad for Elicia!

  • @verypen but then why make a big deal about making a pie for him in the first place?! It would have made a LOT more sense if she had just said THAT! it would have been more well put if she said that she never properly thanked him!! she never had to bring up making the pie! she should have said ("aw, Hughes is dead and now I can't thank him for letting me stay at his place."*sobs*) instead of wanting to make him a PIIIEE!! *o*

  • @pnar13 You just don't get it! The pie was a friendly gesture, to repay Hughes for everything he's done, and she also felt like it was partially her fault that he died.

  • @verypen why did she feel it was her fault?

  • Sounds like something from Fable lol

  • YouTube needs a repeat button..

  • luvvv it

  • God, I love this, it's SO Happy and SO Sad at the same time. I AM SO CONFUSED!!!! It makes me think of Ed X Winry...

  • @Bareerah123 It's called melancholy.
