The artist is trying to convey the fact that he intends to make all out war on sin; evil. He doesn't intend to half-heartedly try to resist temptation but instead he wants to give his all and do good, and not fall into the same sin as before.

I think you have somewhat misunderstood the artist's intent in his lyrics. The lyric is "go all out LIKE a suicide bomber" not "be" a suicide bomber. It is like if some one said "They are like a kid in a candy store" it doesn't mean they are aged under 18 and are in a candy store; it means their behaviour as similarities with that of a kid in a candy store, perhaps being overly enthuisiastic and picking up lots of items they can't afford. The same principle applies here...

I know it's hard for people who are outside of Christianity to understand why Christians would use such strong, violent metaphors for their battle against sin. Look at it this way, you have to fight to be healthy. If you're struggling with Cancer, it's a battle that goes on inside of you to get better. I am a sinner as well, its impossible for us not to sin. There is only one that is perfect and that is Jesus. This is why you must accept Christ to get into heaven, because he died for our sins.This doesn't mean it is ok to sin, this means that when you sin you won't go to Hell.
