Anyone think the arpeggios are possible via alt picking? Right now I can hit the first section consistently at half-speed, but dear god, 100% seems like such a stretch right now.

@TheStapleman Just about, yeah, although you'd need some very precise muscle control in your wrist and to not over-tense and cramp up your hand as is so easy to do when concentrating on these fast technical parts. A mix of sweep picking and alt-picking might make the 100% possible, but from just watching the vid it's hard to tell.

Forgive me if I'm mistaken. watching finger movements in 3rd person makes it hard to judge, but in the main theme arpeggio it looks like your tapping each note once and releasing once. the original music would require guitarists to tap twice while only releasing once. this is why it was first considered possible to play. If you are actually doing it 100% correct then kudos, but if you not then you turned a "very very very hard" piece of guitar work into "very hard"

The pattern would be like: tapping (right hand) and pull off to a note held by the left hand, then a hammer on with the left hand...Thats the the pattern going up the triad...It's kinda an "fake" version of it, but with the lack of control when this was captured I couldn't manage to do it right ;-)

This vid is very old! ...I captured it with movie maker and windows recorder...If I re-captured it today, it would be much better syncronized and the tapping parts even cleaner and tighter! ;-) And I could doubletrack the start...It's kinda more tricky to play both at once...clean!
