He has some good technique but he isn't that great. I have seen the kid play. Great songwriter and it's good he has an instrument that he can play decently but this isn't enjoyable. Look up Akira Jimbo, Dennis Chambers, Thomas Lang, Todd Sucherman, and Carter Beauford for some expert drummers. These are the drummers young musicians should listen to

If you can even see that, I feel sorry for you, and for good musicians who can't stop this from happening!

Well, I have 9 yrs of formal piano training. I've studied music theory, harmony, counterpoint, music history, and analysis among other things. Yet, my tastes range from Debussy to Explosions in the Sky to progressive metal/rock and, yet, to CERTAIN (not all) songs by Miley Cyrus. I'm NOT a JB fan, but compared to many others (britney spears, rap, etc) they are certainly a lot BETTER. Music isn't dying, it's only going in a bad direction. Music - the essence of expression - can never die.
