Hey I play this for PC and CANNOT do the jump from the 1st ledge to 2nd (the one on the other side of the bridge, I can do a crouch jump to survive the fall, but cannot stay on)....you know what im talking about?
@cocopjojo Not sure..what happens with me is as soon as i get onto the bridge, i turn right, knock out sleeping grunt if hes there, then jump off to the ledge. I then go to the right (right in refernce to facing the wall) walk a few steps, then start falling where the ledge kind of slants (this is done in a number of videos). I cant seem to land though. Either I straight up die from the fall, or if i crouch at the right time, ill survive the fall, but the force of landing pushes me off the lege
@danusmc78 For the descent method you're talking about (shown in cocopjojo's "AotCR Descent" vid, and due to xbill), don't crouch. See the comments for scurty2's vid "AotCR Bridge Fall Shortcut" - he explains about this.
@BadCyborgMovies I will def check that out, though i dont see how im gonna survive without crouching....i have officially tried this over 1000x (its actuallly a hell of a lot more than that, i didnt actually start counting until i had already made a ridiculous amount of attempts) either way thanks for the heads up, i sincerly appreciate it bro....though, me bing an actual US Marine, its embarassing ive gotten to this point iwtgout making it....
@danusmc78 That's quite a few attempts you've made. I can't do xbill's trick myself - it doesn't seem possible on a PAL Xbox - but apparently you have to land in quite a precise area to be able to stay on the ledge. If you continue to have trouble, maybe you could try another way down. Googling my 'Bridge descent guide' might help. Good luck!
@cocopjojo When i fall to the second ledge, im facing the wall, holding the forward direction (up arrow on the PC) but it doesnt help. If i time the crouch right, i just bounce off the ledge...its kilin me bro, just killin me...i served 4 years active duty US Marine Corps, am a combat vet, and this is the worst thing ive ever been through...wish i was kidding....
Hey, thanks for putting this up. Finally I can see what this trick is like for the PC - or NTSC I imagine - as compared to the long-falling luxury of PAL (seen in my BCM7 vid). Darned shame. However, another jump-off point for this trick is the bridge support stuck into the cliff wall, which is easy enough to jump onto. That's a few metres lower so it *might* give you a better chance. But I wouldn't want to raise your hopes!
