Sarawak river dolphin or Irrawaddy Dolphin is one of five species in the world , another 4 is, Ganges & Indus River (fmly plantanistidae), Amazon river or Boto (fmly Iniidae), Chinese River or Baiji (fmly Lipotidae) and La Plate ( fmly Pontoporiidae. Chinese River Dolphin officially declared functionally extinct Dec 2006. The fate of Irrawaddy Dolphin at our river could be the same...I just could not understand y our gov never take seriously on this matter.

Nothing impossible for this to happen in Kuching because.... It happen before in my hometown of Dalat in Mukah Div. My granma has ever told me about dolphins in the River Oya, but now its surely gone. Pollution!
