  • Can they dodge a moving car with their eyes closed?

  • @ValiantVendetta my friend, that would require hearing, apparently your sarcasm fails. We probably could not dodge one with our eyes closed, however like johnny knoxville, we could probably climb an car while its moving.

  • @jason98684 Can they not deliberately inflict deafness on their children when the option of a cochlear implant is available? Deaf culture, my ass.

  • @ValiantVendetta I'm hearing, I couldn't do that! CIs & speech are a matter of choice. You can be successful either way. And if you come from a Deaf family, it is a cultural thing. It's hard to tell someone to surgically alter themselves or their child just to be hearing esspecially when it put's your whole culture into consideration. (Part 1 of 2)

  • @ValiantVendetta For many Deafies, it's even insulting. Nothing's wrong with them, so why change them? It'd be like me telling you that you need a tail. You've never had one, why do you need it now? Or if someone told you your skin had to be a certain color. Why? So everyone could be alike? It's call "audism." Like racism, sexism, etc. Audism is against a certain hearing group: hearing, deaf, Deaf, hh, ect. (most specifically Deaf). So let's stop audism! (Part 2 of 2)

  • @123nickiv You're a monster, deafness can and will be eliminated just like polio was.

  • @ValiantVendetta Wow! That was harsh! I'm not a monster. However, I am "accepting" of both worlds. I never even said I am against CIs, but I do not appreciate people discriminating against Deaf people and their culture, we don't tolerate it! I'm just teaching you a little bit about the culture. Plus why would someone (hearing or Deaf) try to dodge a moving car with their eyes closed? I even lost a friend (hearing) who went to cross a road with her eyes open. RIP Cierra Mamonoff.

  • I just need to say that @kalijasin you are less of a troll than ( actully not really a troll) @plator99 and I wrote the @ so both of you can see that it's terrible to do a troll war on a video about disabled people being able to do somthing with thier life

  • Deaf can, yeaaahhhh! I am deaf. :-)

  • What is the purpose of showing this video about what Deaf can DO EVERYTHING expect to HEAR! If that is true, then why are the MAJORITY of American deaf people living off welfare and not going to work? Lazyiness? Culture thing? Poor Education? excuses!!

  • YEAHH!!! WOOHOO DEAF PPL!! :D my dreams to bcome an interprater some day wit my bff!!! :DDD

  • @surnburst amen

  • Audism is a term typically used to describe discrimination against deaf or hard of hearing people, although it could also be expanded to include anyone with a difference in hearing ability.

  • Deaf people dont make society worse they enrich it.

  • I've personally have never been limited by my Deafness.

  • @kalijasin

tell me which category of music is your favorite then, oh wait...

  • @plator99 so music is the sole factor in determining quality of life and happiness?

  • Comment removed

  • @plator99 rap and rock.

  • @plator99 You obviously favor the beliefs of audists who believe Deaf are not equal with that of the hearing because they cannot hear. And that is shameful because such attitudes are discriminatory and disrespectful.

  • @kalijasin

you can use political correctness crap all you like, the fact remains that a disability is a disability, no amount of flowery wording or semantics will change that, your views also show how prejudice you are as well.

  • @plator99 Its not political correctness you dolt. Its called being respectful and tolerant of people with differences.

  • I met a woman with a CI last month at a conference. She got 6 months after becoming Deaf. The woman told me she would not know what to do if she did not have her CI. The woman actually freaks out and is stuck every time her battery in the CI dies or something goes wrong with the device. She's like stuck in a little box. She can't communicate through an interpreter, with other Deaf people, or even with Hearing people. So for people like her, in some instances, the CI is actually crippling.

  • @anime1973 from the medical perspective too, CI can't treat all forms of deafness. For example, Deafness from cholera nerve damage or psychological factors.

  • I love it :)

  • That sound so nice... Yeah we can do!

  • @420gigi

can't serve in the military, can't fit in with society due to some bizarre cripple elitism, can't live without specialized services that other people pay for because the majority of deaf people are on welfare, and apparently a majority of deaf people cannot read or write, culture indeed, of ignorance.

  • @plator99 Thats because of discrimination not any physical limitations.

  • @plator99 crippled? I aint in no wheel chair.

  • @kalijasin

use a phone without a specialty service, denial much?

  • @plator99 what the hell are you talking about? My cell phone is a regular phone. It dont have anything special.

  • @plator99 you are not making sense.

  • @kalijasin

I really can't be bothered explaining simple statements to you, perhaps you should write it down and have an interpreter hold your hand and spell it out for you.

  • @kalijasin

also, you're a terrible troll, I'm pretty much throwing my time away at this point responding to your comments and I'm not even getting a good laugh out of it anymore, so feel free to post on my wall or message me, as I could be using my time more constructively like supporting the bill for prenatal genetic screening.

  • @plator99 ssi and ssdi are not welfare.

  • @kalijasin

keep telling yourself that, I'm sure you may even believe it. I'm sorry you're in such a state of denial you can't accept what you are and feel the need to lash out at those who are not disabled, but such demonstrations of your own self loathing are boring at best, feel free to private message me if you have anything to discuss as opposed to trying to pump up your lackluster ego with your inane crappy comments.

  • @plator99 I don't need people like you to dictate what is best for me.

  • @kalijasin

Yet, you ask for my patronage! Gladly accept it then, you are beholden to many many more than I, how quick you are to put aside pride and self worth and steal bread from the mouths of children! You're a hilarious hypocrite, or you have a serious lack of reading comprehension, probably both.

  • @CoolConejo the regeneration of hearing cells is not something the Deaf communty wants....it will destroy Deaf culture!!

  • Of course they can! Who is saying they can't do or be anything they want to??? I hope these kind of videos aren't having to be made because the world has somehow made people feel they can't be what they want because of their hearing! If so (which is probably the case) is extremely sad for me to see :((((

  • Don't worry people, in about 10-15 years, they will be able to regenerate Hearing Cells. Yay!, im not deaf, but have hearing loss due to loud gunshot.
