  • its normal man. and putt some balls into it. and push that shit. it'll work helps if u have nails.

  • its fine no need to fix

  • My CIA AK did that but i still shot it with no problem. Accurate too so i wouldn't worry. But i did buy a tapco muzzle break and it fits more snug.

  • havnt tried the o-ring .....yet.sounds good though.I've been using PTFE otherwise known as teflon tape works good, but is hard to remove for cleaning.

  • just get yourself some wiring and wrap it behind the brake if it bugs you that much. the ak47 is a loose weapon, everything wobbles, its not an ar its a weapon to kill humans and was built accordingly

  • Sand the bottom of the muzzle brake on a flat surface with a piece of med. grit sandpaper, try it,sand until you have a tight fit, take it off re-blue the bottom of the brake, and when you re-install it,use a bit of anti-seize on the threads!

  • also i saw a key ring trick video on here look up AK 47 QUICK FIX LOOSE MUZZLE BRAKE he fixed the extra space reducking all wobble and space with a key ring check it out

  • OK HERES WHAT YOU DO BUD FIRST DO NOT SHOOT IT JUST YET cause ur right it could fly off or hit the break and blow the tip of ur gun off if a bullet catches it worst case .. #1 Try taking a Screw Driver and press the button in see if u can get more of a push mabe a little flat head or even try a small puch screw driver with the point tip after u do get it off mabe its just not screwed on all the way try screwing it back on making seeing if it tightens up or make it SOLID use some Thred Tape

  • hey buddy, this is normal with ak47s,i purposly made mine this way, makes it easy on easy off most times but she wont fly off, just want to warn u and everyone dont mess with your threads if u mess up the 14x1 u will need to rethread using 1/2x28RH (AR15) style n size.. if this really bothers you that bad you can use and o ring, loctite or do what i did on one of my breaks and got it really really hot with a torch on my vise and use electronic solder to fill in grooves a bit

  • You guys that jump all over people who might be new to firearms or new to a particular type of firearm should go back to playing video games or playing army in your back yard. Leave it to adults to offer advice and comments in a polite and helpful manner.

  • Yep, I've used a plain neoprene rubber O-ring on my AKs to snug up whichever brake is installed at the moment. Miraculously, not a single one of them has melted.

  • COMPLETELY NORMAL

shouldnt affect muzzle flash, bullet trajectory, or sound at all

better to just not mess with it and make it worse lol

  • put an oring behind it

  • At a time you'll get to jail :P

  • Maybe the Gun Machinist can make you a robot. No need for the 762 build if you have a fucking robot. Or... You can take it to a Gunsmith and have him tell you that its okay.

  • Mine wobbles and it shoots like a champ.

  • u know whats funny an ak is an ak no mater what you pay people pay 1000 dollars for an ak that is the quality of and AR by that i mean fit and finish an ak is ment to be a piece of crap that works no matter what and the problems that come up are easily fixed and remember the gun was meant to be used by kids its one of the simplest guns out there Russians and Viet Cong had kid that used the ak and wasted adults

  • I don't know if you've figured it out by now.

But it's reverse threads, and its normal to wobble.

I just wanted to be 4,000th person to tell you this.

  • This is normal. My Lancaster AKM does the same thing and that is a high quality AK.

  • Barrel threads were cut too deep or the slant brake is junk. There should not be play or movement with your brake.

  • NORMAL

  • Use a flat head screw driver and hold the button in. I would shoot it I dont think it will cause any harm.

  • normal. if you screw it in tighter it wont lock into the pin.

thats why it has a locking pin. mostly all muzzle attachments will have play, its almost impossible to have it threaded perfectly to line up to the notch. You can buy muzzle tips with no notch, get it super tight then dremmel notch but dont worry about it.

    ak newb :)

  • Don't Use it, i had an SKS muzzle brake that got loose and the bullet hit it and was

    dented

  • you don't have it screwed it in enough

  • lol must be a wasr10.

  • No way! Thats normal! Mine does that and it doesnt effect it at all!

  • small potatoes... it will work

  • All Ak47 Rifles I Have shot are like that so it shouldn't be a problem.

  • Mine does the same thing but I have another muzzle break. I just put my slant muzzle break back on for this upcoming weekend though. Does anything know if the wobble will effect the trajectory of your bullets?

  • @LiftedShooter my wasr seems a little more accurate with the ak 74 brake i got

  • just got mine last week and it moves also think its normal i shot it and it shot fine

  • the wobble is just the parts kit or that slant muzzle came from a wider thread barrel so you can get a new one for like $10 and get a new romanian or bulgarian slant muzzle break and it will fit and it wont wobble go to apexgunparts, com cheap parts for your ak

  • Ahh, don't drill a hole in the slant! Just go the washer route. LoL. Don't wanna mess up the threads on the barrel if you ever decide to attach something else to it.

  • When I installed my slant brake on my AK I had a similar problem, I had a noticeable space between the brake and the sightpost. It wiggled a little but I don't think it did that much, I happened to have a copper washer and cut a notch for the retaining pin and then replaced the muzzle brake. I don't know if that is good to do or not but it made me happy. I may trim it down and paint it black so it matches.

  • it is normal for it to move like that, they all do that.

  • Remember that the muzzle break is a left handed thread.

  • to get your brake off, take your knife, (be careful) push the flat end of the knife flush against the button, turn counter closewise till it wont turn anymore, and then closewise.

  • it should be fine. mine does the same thing. its just because the position of the threads and the locking pin button. if you think it will hinder your skills then id use plumbers tape like others suggested, but i think its normal

  • Use plumbers tape or thread lock it will take out the wobbel. will not effect the rifle if its wobbleing.

  • they all wobble a bit....but like the text below, someone said to use some teflon tape if it bothers you...

  • can you just take it off entirely or is it illegal?

  • they all wobble, if it bugs you that much put some teflon tape or something.

  • dude thats how they are its fine! they all wobble.

  • It's normal, my brand new CAI GP1975 has the same little wobble on the break.

  • never mind, just checked they all do that.

  • Comment removed

  • It shouldn't be an issue. I would only try to eliminate the wobble if it's bothering you knowing that it wobbles. In no way would it fly off or be dangerous to shoot. My WASR10 is identical.

  • ...There's actually a easy way to fix this: put a sand paper on flat surface (table) and in round motions sand off little by litte of the compnsator so that you can turn the compnesator an extra 360 degrees. Only just enough to make the extra turn - no more. Accuracy might be nominally better after this, that's about it - and no wobling ofcourse :). compensator "wobling" itself doesn't hurt, but it's anoying :).

    -DD

  • As stated before, they all wobble.

And, due to the short length of the brake, it would be pretty much impossible for a bullet to strike that.

You could probably add some teflon tape to the threads to tighten it a bit, but it's not really need.

  • Mine does that. It's normal. Shoot away.

  • take your knife and push the button in and twist the flash hider tighter all at the same time the button is not supposed to lock in place just hold it in

  • that's totally normal. that's parrt of the normal oporation of the gun. that's what it is made to do. Shoot it now. It's awsome......Bang Bang shot it now..it will work fine....

  • That weapon is a GO. You can safely shoot it. My Romanian is the same way. If you want, you can go to the hardware store and get a thin stainless washer and file out a notch with a chainsaw blade round sharpening file or a drill. It worked good for me. :) I just installed a new Phoenix flash hider and installed it on my rifle today. Brownells had them for 36 bucks! Make sure to remove and clean your brake every time you do the barrel. Peace!

  • You'll be fine shooting it. Mine has a little play too, I'm buying a -74 style brake anyways so I don't really care.

  • Thanks guys....This is my fist ak with a brake on it (it came on the gun). I do not mind the recoil or muzzle rise without a brake. After I fire this one with a slant brake I may buy a few more.

  • I don't blame ya there buddy! I own 3 AK's myself. A Bulgarian,a Yugo and my favorite of the 3....my Chinese Poly Tech AKS 762 preban hehehe :-D Happy shooting and enjoy!

  • All of the slant brakes that I've encountered have a slight wobble like that. It's because the slant brake is supposed to be offest to a 45 degree angle. The threading on the barrel twists slightly past where it should end, thus having the slight play in the brake. The brake itself has little notches for the plunger to "notch" itself into if that makes any sense. It won't fly off and you are good to go!

  • i have the TAPCO 74 style break on mine and it wobbles like that, i thought that it would fuck shit up if a round were to bounce in it. but i haven't had any problems yet and i shot over 300 rounds with it. but i would take it to a gunsmith to fix the front sight bumper that wont push in all the way
