  • Could you please download the whole movie.

  • This is hauntingly well-done... Though, Petrucio's frequent laughing kinda creeps me out! XD

  • CAN YOU UPLOAD THE WHOLE FILM PLEASEEEEEEEEE

  • @meni1969able i think he uploaded but there was a problem with the company and they deleted them.

  • Bye Elizabeth! I shall forever miss you! God bless her!

  • I most love to see the dazzlingly beautiful Dame Elizabeth Taylor, as Katherina, in "The Taming of the Shrew"; As Katherina, the more bawdy she acted, the sweeter and lovlier she seemed to Petruchio, who from a tower of strength, became a tower of jelly, but love-happlly so. And off camera Elizabeth downplayed her celebrity to avoid towering over the men in her life.

  • RIP

  • Elizabeth and Burton are now together, forever. Rest in peace Ms Taylor.

  • A true Hollywood Queen has left the building. Rest in peace dear Elizabeth Taylor.

  • Not only beautiful, but talented.

  • Oh God, what a terrible way to go...RIP Elizabeth Taylor. Forever missed...

  • @shayboodawolf i know its so sad to me.

  • I loved this movie. I really feel the passage of time today. Elizabeth Taylor is gone.

  • She's tamed.

  • She was a stunner. Rest in Peace, beautiful Kate.

  • Just heard the news about her sad passing. This was my favorite movie with her in it...had to some and watch it again...:(

  • My favorite scene of the entire movie. RIP Elizabeth Taylor.

  • RIP Elizabeth!

  • In this animated version of this story, Kate mostly feisty and hostile. In this version SHE'S A BAT OUTT HELL!! LOL

  • I think Burton looks pretty hot here too.

  • Isn't she just gorgeous?

  • God....she is incredibly hot and absolutely beautiful....her eyes can kill. Blue-purple devil eyes and black hair.

  • Elizabeth taylor is funny !! I love her :)

  • It's a humorous concept, but I think in reality Petruchio would eventually get bored in their marriage since the challenge that attracted him to Katharina is no longer there.

  • @quemacha Which is why a lot of people like to imagine that she's only pretending to be tamed at the end and that the shrewishness actually continues throughout their marriage.

  • Richard Burton looks so different with all that facial hair. It's like Michael York with the curly dark hair in ROMEO AND JULIET.

  • favorite play of Shakespeare, I honestly dont believe that Kate is actually tamed, she is sarcastic and plotting the whole time.

  • Brilliant acting by both of them

  • Amazing Richard Burton. Why was I not born earlier?

  • My friend did this play in the 6th grade... I did Macbeth, I was a WITCH! I HATED IT

but my friend Jenna, was Kathrine

  • I love watching these two, they were such a 'fiery' couple.....

  • I think this Kate is a over-angry, rather like a very large toddler throwing a tantrum. She acts like a lunatic when she is simply supposed to be shrewish, not someone who throws things around and shrieks.

I agree with ginger1961: I like the Marc Singer version. It's hilarious and interesting.

  • @Felicity1247 But in the original play, isn't there a scene where Kate has her sister tied to a chair while beating her? That goes beyond shrewishness as well.

  • @EmpressJudge13 Yes, that's going beyond shrewishness. I don't know what Shakespeare was intending, but it's much easier to take in the abuse when you see it not taken lightly.

  • does anyone know what season this is suppose to be?

  • The 1976 Marc Singer version is so much better. This movie bored me to tears. I show my high school English classes the Singer version.

  • i LOVE that version! i love liz taylor, but that one is so much more creative, funny, and true to the character.

  • kate has gone mad! over something so little!! thank goodness for petruchio, he's smart enough to deal with her and her issues.

  • I think this scene could have been indicitive of the Burton/Taylor union in real life. Fiery but never boring. Ha Ha . Great Scene.

  • Liz was really great in the sack.

  • LOL! This is funnier than heck! LOL!

  • thank you for posting!

  • I did this scene in drama class in hs it was fun to do

  • whats a song that would go well with this part???

    any suggestions??

  • - Dzień Dobry, Kasiu. Tak cię zwą, jak słyszę.

-Dobrze słyszałeś, jednak słuch cię zawiódł,

Kto do mnie mówi, zwie mnie Katarzyną.

  • My favorite place to be.

  • I'm doing this book for literature this year and it really is interesting. Elizabeth Taylor looks beautiful!

  • @enkiko Me too, and we are also reading the book, and were watching this movie as well, and i also agree that she does look beautiful! :)

  • We just read this in my drama class today :) I read katharina.

  • I love this play! We read it in my class at school I am taking on Shakespeare!

  • i'm reading the book right now...and it's really good! :]] i want to see this movie...it seems really good :]]

  • the movie with the greatest chemistry between Burton & Taylor.......

  • Chemstry = Burton and Taylor

  • Shakespeare actually based this play on the real life relationship between Burton & Taylor. For real! He used Doc Brown's Flux Capacitor and Delorean for the time travel.

  • I just ordered this movie and can't wait to watch it. I just love Elizabeth Taylor :) Rock on!!!!

  • I played Katherine in The Taming of the Shrew during my senior year of High School. It was so much fun to be mean. I loved being the bitch. I had a blast during the play. I love this movie. these two have chemistry like no others.

  • Elizabeth Taylor was so beautiful in her youth, so beautiful.

  • I get to play Kate in my school play.

  • Is this sofia or emmy? cause its me taylor from "shakespear to go"

  • Imagine kids like that!

  • what a patient and persistant man

  • ...........father!!! this man.....

  • Richard Burton is so handsome! I love all the little gestures he puts in, such as when he says 'and if she refuse to wed...', catches a glimpse of himself in the window and pauses uncertainly, then primps a little, and finally grimaces fiercely, kind of growls, and pushes up his sleeves, to give encourage himself before his first encounter with Kate. Those little touches give him a vulnerability that adds so much to the fun.

  • I love Liz Taylor. The burtons worked great together makeing this my faveorite movie.

  • my all time fev play..i love this story.....

  • i had to do this scene and re-create it. it was so fun :D

  • just love Richard Burton He was such a great actor and one of my favorites. he is great in this and makes me laugh until i cry

  • Wow. Shakespere was a dirty old man.

  • Jackskellingtonsora,

Shakespeare was a dirty YOUNG man. He wrote most of his plays in his 20's and 30's.

  • Purposing to Katharina is like wearing a red cape when in a bulls eye. (me:yikes!)

  • OH My God thank you for uploading some of the movie I was looking all over youtube to find it, thank you so much for posting this great film.

  • I am doing this play in theater class. I am Katharina!

  • What a fun role.

  • They did this so well. Such excellent onscreen chemistry between Liz Taylor and Richard Burton.

  • This is my favorite play of shakespeare. This is also my favorite part

  • XD I just love the way she fools him like that in the end and hightails it outta there. His expression is priceless.

Burton and Taylor really were made for the repsective parts. One of the most entertaining and true adaptations of the play to screen!

  • god... her father is like my father. thinks im some property of his.

  • i'd like to see you do any better chump

  • This is just a riot! I love this scene. The whole entire chase is funny.

  • I love it when people take this spin on the story, and have Petruchio clearly actually enjoy sparring with Kate, so that it isn't a play about how man is dominant and all that rubbish. Makes it pretty much the best play/movie of all time!

  • She was at her zenith of beauty in this film-an absolute goddess.

  • Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor is the best on-screen couple EVER.

  • elizabeth taylor is a babe

  • yes, ohhh yes...she is.
