@markgma3 hey, take it slow man. the trick to building speed is working slowly, making sure that your sub-division is dead accurate and being as relaxed as possible. use a metronome, set it to 16th note subdivision and work from 60bpm all the way up to 200bpm. make sure that your sub-divisions fall in-line with each beep of the metronome. speed will come slowly. control is the more important thing ((:

hey man awesome job i am my self in pit percussion at eastern high school i am playing on the rack but spent time on the marimba like everyone has to at somepiont and i personally cant do it but do appreciate others who can. i maen one of my closest friends dad plays with the louisville orchestra and teaches at schools so she is likke the best at playing marimba. keep it up and follow that through your life and it will pay off
