I'm sorry but don't get me wrong. You guys nd to listen to the late Jeff Healey's interpretation the live version Montreaux. Awesome version. I'm a fan of Alicia Keys but she messed up a classic. Gary would have been better off with his own band without her.. Listen to his guitar skills. I had to mute Alicia out. Don't compare him to Jimi. Gary has his own playing style he is not trying to be Jimi. I hate when ppl compare to Jimi. No one will ever replace Jimi nor sound like him EVER!!!!

The thing about Gary's guitar playing isn't throwing notes at you trying to impress you with his skill. its his use of tone and timing playing the right note and holding it just as long as it should.he's not showing off.he's playing the song.

one more thing Gary Clark is in very high regard with eric clapton. He was the only young artist to play his concert two years ago. Do you know more than Clapton? Another thing he has been doing this for almost twenty years paying his dues in the Texas jazz clubs. What makes the vocals in While My Guitar Gently Weeps is George's subtle and understated delivery that stays about even with the main riff, which drives Clapton's soaring melody on the lead. What ruins this version -- along with every Alicia Keys song -- is that Keys has no idea what any of those concepts are and relies on her singular talent of being able to project loudly while maintaining pitch and thus delivering the histrionic bombast that you get here.
