I just learned John has gone to his reward. Thank you for inspiring me. You will be missed, But I figure our Lord is enjoying an awesome jam. Yes I figure God is an Ukulele player
As BachScholar wrote, John has left us. I imagine him sitting on a cloud now, playing his little 'ukulele, and a crowd of angels gathering around him and listening in awe.
His 'ukulele however was a stradelele from Earnest Instruments. But I've got no doubt John could have made ANY instrument sound wonderful.
He was my personal 'ukulele hero, my inspiration, and he will remain that.
It is with deep sadness to inform you that John (a teaching colleague of mine at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida) passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on April 3, 2009.
May you forever rest in peace, John, and may your exemplary playing continue to thrill and entertain YouTubers around the globe!
My god. I think we have just discovered the one single thing that cannot ever be matched in awesomness. Who is this man, and where can I find him so I can worship him?
I took classical guitar lessons from John King back during my college days. He's an amazing and diverse musician; he'll tackle any composition with his trademark perfectionist approach and makes it sound like music!!! John King for President 2008!
You're a ukulele genius! Its not just the fact that this piece is such a difficult one to play, but you play it with such EASE. You make it look like a walk in the park...whereas us mortals would be sweating bullets just to play one quarter of that piece without mistakes. ! You are amazing.
You play very cleanly. Amazing really. Thanks for poasting
