  • Wish my rsti will just as nice.

  • Is this a complicated swap?

  • @fasthonda Mechanically, it is about as straight forward as most swaps get, but electronically, it can be a pain. Keeping the DCCD is a main reason for the dash change in the car.

If anybody is in the Indy area, they are more than welcome to check the car out. Carbon Fiber doors and mirrors have been added and the carbon fiber roof and widebody should be on the car come early next year. That will help correct the rear suspension adjustment issues with the car.

  • Unless you changed the dash and everything< that is not a 2000 impreza.

  • great job to the individual who took the time to make such a nice ride. I wanna see some video of this in action!

  • Thats my point... this car is only soo expensive bc it was built at a shop and im sure debt was a reason for the price. Do the work yourself and its half as much.

  • @tavage The car wasn't built at a shop. The swap was done by the original owner and it was further upgraded and 'tweaked' by the second owner. I can guarantee that if you attempted to build the same vehicle on your own, you'd be WELL in to the $40k+ range (there are receipts to prove it). Also, there are many one-off parts that were included with the sale because both owners had access to resources that most people don't.

  • @tavage This car was built by one of my best friends and I have seen this thing since it's original purchase. Many man hours were put into this car including a weekend trip to michigan from pa for me to help him with some two man jobs when the swap was going on since a great job took him to that state. I can say personally you will never see such a clean swap. Just look how clean the engine bay is and how organized it looks. That kind of care was put into the whole car.

  • Haha if you only knew what im talking about :p

  • @tavage Also if you'd like to see the car in action I have a couple video's in my profile. One of them was him at Gingerman raceway. He worked for Pratt & Miller (gm's corvette and at the time caddilac race teams) and his lap time was only a few seconds off of the caddilac ctsv race car which were driven by professional drivers. That shows how great this car was set up. The second owner made it even better around a track.

  • thats effing gorgeous. if had 21k to spend on a subie it would have to be on a car like that.

  • its truely sick and i would drive the S*#T out of it! Lucky to the new owner..

  • nice ride but not for 21500

  • @tavage The car sold for close to that amount. The amount of money it would take to duplicate this vehicle is far beyond what most would think. Like anything else, it's only "worth" as much as someone's willing to pay, but obviously the price wasn't far off...

  • @tavage you have no idea what your talking about.

  • You're out of gas.

  • Awesome car, man! Hope my 99 2.5RS gets to that level someday. Right now just getting rid of the rust so its at least presentable.
