I just bought the MSSIAH cart and i wanted to know if the genesis controller is fully capable of controlling the sequencer....I read somewhere that the pinouts are different and select will short.....but i really don't have the recommended mouse(1351) for the mssiah all i have is genny controller

All joystick and joypads with at least one button works with MSSIAH.

But one thing I've never understand exactly is how to get direct audio output from the SID??

Is that from the RF lead through the tv or you gotta have some sort of mod or breakout box?? cheers.

@wax83 The 5-pin DIN output gives you the line out, though I forget which pin.

Read your manual to discover which.

Hello,

The genesis controller let me modify the values of the parameter I select with the keyboard. Next step is to build a home-made pots controllers to modify parameters instead of the genesis controller.

you can connect it to any tv or a lcd monitor with a composite input.

The effects sound like crap. Not sure if you're using the Live built-in or not but the built-in effects and eq are notoriously bad.

Yes, effectively, these effects are the Live built-in. And the Youtube encoder when uploading the video does not help to improve sound quality.
