I saw them already a few times and in my opinion Rogue isn't always on the spotlight ... The others are very good too... And if you here it really live at a concert you're are in the feeling and you will feel the songs! His voices sounded live really good, different than on cd, but not worser than live!
Love this song, love this band, love the fact that Rogue is jumping around like Yoda. Sounds good live too, although the initial "Naa" had me worried. The rest of the band should take the spotlight at some point too though, not that I'm complaining.
what are you people talking about? they're good. Although the dancers aren't really needed..lol this song sounds like that one song by flo rida in the beginning. Still good though.
this is what would happen if britney spears decided to dress in black and shop at hot topic. Rogue sounds whiney and nasal and like hes taking a big crap on stage. The dancers make this look too cheesy. the only two that are really worth a damn are th violinist and the female guitarist
He sounds smoother on recorded songs, live he's likely trying ot sound more dramatic or aggressive. And sure the dancers aren't needed, but they add to the experience of seeing them live. Everyone that I met in the band was actually really chill and humble.
yeah, but its too much. hes the front man to this catastrophe. if they down sized and focused on different aspects. such as get him an actual microphone, cut the dancers, and pulled the violinists closer to the front. make it a band. not a play.
Aye, but part of what they do, and what many good bands do is that they put on a performance. I like Cruxshadows, but I hadn't ever heard of them till a friend brought me to a concert. Seeing them in concert they have a lot of energy and stage presence, and it gets you into it. I do agree though the violin players should come up closer more. At one point when they did, the female violinist hit me in teh face with her dreads! I talked to her after, she was really hot and cool!
and see that is a what a good band does, there presence isnt just dancers and vocalist. i have never seen them in concert, but i dont know if i could get into it. its just too organized for me. i will say the music is good and the lyrics could be a revelation, but the vocals ruin the experience. Rogue carries the band badly. he takes a lot of the spot light from the real talent. if he focused more on his singing, he could be up to par, but i think being a recoridng artist has gotten to him
I wouldn't say he's "taking too much of the spotlight" considering he writes all the songs. And does his voice REALLY sound that bad (aside from the Naas) to you compared to the recordings?
Hah. I used to be a Cruxshadows fan because they used to be pretty good, then Rachel left and now they suck. Their music is too soft but they try to come across as hard and bad-ass while Rogue sings about love and whiney "gothic" poetry.
your all wrong!!! the cruxshadows are thebest band ever!!! such a good sound an d gr8 songs. hardly cheesy is it. one of the best gothic/electronic acts around.
collide, combichrist, razed in black, zombie girl, angelspit, helealyn flowers, I:Scintilla, Zeromancer, etc. those are great "Goth" industrial bands. not the fuckin cruxshadows. they are the epitome of a hot topic baby bat. Oh, and lets not forget the birthday massacre. they kick ass.
oh my god. I'm all for being individual, but this is just stupid. i'd laugh them off the stage in a heart beat. BOO!!! BOO!!! too many people have worked very hard to establish the Goth understream, and this is just a mockery to that. the music is beautiful. i will not deny that. but his voice. makes me think someone needs to either take lessons, or let go of the ego. he is not good. that "NAAAAAAAAAA!!!" i thought he was gonna shit on the stage.
Now, obviously you are gonna say that you listen to crap like rap and such as well ? People have different taste.. If you dont like em, doesnt mean that everyone else hates them as well..
Fyi. The crüxshadows where part of forming the goth... And rogue is very famous for his voice...
you're RETARDED. The cruxshadows had nothing to do with the formuation of any part of the goth understream. "Goth" was started in the sixties and seventies as a branch of the punk movement. They could be influenced by it, but not part of the formulation. You are thinking of Siouxsie and the Banshees, the Cult etc. The Cruxshadows are what anime "goth" teens listen to while they slit their wrists wishing they lived the same life as Naruto. oh...boo hoo. How do you say that in japanese?
The "Naaaaaaa"s in the recorded version actually sound much smoother. I'm assuming live he tries to be a bit more dramatic and aggressive with some of his lyrics.
i was there front row!!!! i have the black hair with shaved sides!!! rogue was right in fron of me most of the time!ha im famous!lisa eat your fat heart out!!
