I was at a diner one day with friends and actually saw a man I went to physical therapy with. I was about 15 when I went with him and he was at least 50 and we talked for a bit and then went back our ways and when my friends and I went to pay the lady said that it was already paid for and she gave me an napkin with a note that said "thank you for helping me through PT. " I had encouraged this man daily not to give up and that he'd be able to walk again on his own one day.

Haha i think people are too lazy to do so much. I do think the premise is fantastic, and it's one of those things you kinda just do or don't anyways. Like karma almost, the do as you wish to receive. Someone does something, they do something and eventually someone will help you out. The idea is help whenever you can, not for reward, but just a nicer place to live in.

1. Making a website generally isn't that hard - if you can get hold of Dreamweaver and some code..and yes you can copy code by checking "source" of the website your viewing.

The beauty of this concept my friend, is that you can do any random act of kindness for whatever reason you choose. I didn't know there was a religious overtone? Just told my story from my perspective.
I'm referring only to the suggestion made by previous posts about the religious overtones, but; "when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret."
I've thought about that, and to be honest, I think we can overthink it. It's too easy to worry so much about WHY you're giving, that you justify not doing so at all. Stop thinking, just give. The person receiving won't care what the motivation was, especially if it's anonymous.
Wait.. let me get this straight - some guy spends $80 on you at Sizzler and all you did was buy some old bird a $2.50 bus ticket? Come on man - the reason your heart wouldn't shut up is cause you needed to shout her a taxi ride the whole way home. That way she would have gotten home faster, safer and you would have actually repaid the act of kindness that was shown to you. You're not out of debt yet matey!

this isn't a "random act" at all, you had to have god intervene.
Having said that - random acts in themselves ARE good - I like to do them when I can, but .. I don't need a god to tell me that kindness is good.

ben, i have done some html programming but im not very goost at making sites like you suggested, but i know somone who can, i will see if i can get his number and then will show him your vid, ive talked to them about making my own site *similar* but would cost me £800, but would be worth it. anwyay will see if i can can in contact with him.

Haha i think people are too lazy to do so much. I do think the premise is fantastic, and it's one of those things you kinda just do or don't anyways. Like karma almost, the do as you wish to receive. Someone does something, they do something and eventually someone will help you out. The idea is help whenever you can, not for reward, but just a nicer place to live in.

He gave you the gift of awareness..not just dinner at Sizzler. I am totally into the whole random acts of kindness, but feel I don't need to see the effects or have them documented. I know what they are. Some people will discover an awareness in themselves from it, others won't. It doesn't matter..because you have already changed the world in the acts you do. It's the butterfly effect..and that can create the most beautiful and magical expressions of humanity.

1. Making a website generally isn't that hard - if you can get hold of Dreamweaver and some code..and yes you can copy code by checking "source" of the website your viewing.
2. Random acts of kindness doesn't have to be about money - information is generally most valuable thing in this world.
3. What's with the religious overtone?
4. Religion is overrated
5. You can choose to be "good" without being religious

I've thought about that, and to be honest, I think we can overthink it. It's too easy to worry so much about WHY you're giving, that you justify not doing so at all. Stop thinking, just give. The person receiving won't care what the motivation was, especially if it's anonymous.

Wait.. let me get this straight - some guy spends $80 on you at Sizzler and all you did was buy some old bird a $2.50 bus ticket? Come on man - the reason your heart wouldn't shut up is cause you needed to shout her a taxi ride the whole way home. Way to go! Being kind isn't hard at all, and it continually rewards the instigator, (often in unrelated ways). It's the 1st Law of the Universe - the Law of Attraction. What you put out, you get back. If you put out aggression, you'll get a smack in the mouth. But put out kindness and your World will be a pleasant one. Sad thing is most people are so egotistical, contrived and self-centered that they only help themselves. Benanaman worked it out. Will you? We're all in this together. Help others
