It's just a piece of plywood in which I have cut holes with a skillsaw. I no longer use these as they were time consuming to fill. I use the barrels with a hockey net at the bottom - just have to toss the hay in and you're done + it stays dry.
Great idea. This would only work in dry conditions?? I'm thinking with the amount of rain we have, the hay would get very wet very quickly. I like the head down grazing style though. Might make a couple of these for summer.
worried about the water? just make drain holes in the bottom
