@PinkThursdayy Bobby was a blowboy, the guy has not worked since 1974 and had to pick up whatever comes his way....same for the rest of the cast from that show....the show went off the air in 1974 and those poor kids were left unemployed because of that jew Schwartz who made them act like asshoes for 5 years, sterotyped them worse than any other sitcom, then tossed them aside while he sat back and collected the royalties
This commercial shows that simplicity is and will always be the key of happiness, no matter of special effects, photoshop corrections, dolce&gabbana glamour and all of the shit we are aiming to nowadays. The more ads wanna show how good their products are the more stupid and boring they get. In the past, I used to watch ads but nowadays I always avoid them
@aaronpourazar This commercial was a coverup for the real truth!!! I tell you now, He knocked that Betty up and high tailed it outta town like the coward he was/is. THAT is why I wanted to see his head knocked off................
the Olympics this commercial was advertising were the 1980 Olympics, which the US boycotted as a result of the Russians invading Afghanistan. good commerical though.
Of ALL people to pick for this commercial why the hell did Coca Cola pick this jackass? Seriously, he starred in a sitcom where he made nothing but a fool of himself & he has not ONE OUNCE of athletic ability. The only reason that makes any sense is that he was busted out and broke by 1979 and Coca Cola picked him up for probably 200 bucks or so.
If you have eyes to see, then, you would realise that this commercial makes very little sense: good ol Bobby-boy here is heading off for the Olympics to prove mommy and daddy how hard his balls are while dumping down some "cocain-juice" (Coke) with his girl there...Hmmm, how nutritional for one's body!!!
You know what would really make this commercial the best???? Well, you see where he's waving goodbye to everyone right? If he leans out just a bit further and gets decapitated by a post or some zany prop like that, imagine the looks on the faces of those motherfuckers at the train station..............
I really liked the description of this video by the uploader. I especially liked his or her comment about playing ball in the house! In my opinion, this person has a great sense of humor!
@GhostsonAcid If he needs more info, My name is Brian Lucey. The school was Taper Elementary in San Pedro, California. He even invited me to his birthday party way back when. All i remember is i had to wear a suit which i hated and i had a big crush on his sister, i believe her name was Teresa? He was always very cool and never any 'Star" attitude. Please give him my best.
@msinthrop He says hi and we're going to go pull out the old class photos from Taper Avenue to see if we can find you! Also, her name's Terese. :) but close! -Joe :)
@GhostsonAcid Thanks for the update Joe. And when you find me in the school pictures...be kind..i was goofy looking...lol. Thank you for getting the word to your dad. Very nice of you. Thank you for the correct spelling of Terese's name (My bad). Your dad use to live near or on a very cool street all us skateborders loved because it was so steep. I took some serious tumbles on it many times. I want to say the street was "Myler" or something like that, but my memory is a little cloudy on it.
The Ironic thing is that the USA along with many other countries boycotted the 1980 Olympic games in Moscow in response to the USSR's invasion of Afghanistan.
@lttguys I understand where you're coming from, but that's a myth. The only caffeinated drinks it says to avoid is hot drinks(like Coffee or Tea), Things like Coca Cola are ok(even though there are some people who are totally against that)
look at this video and the town you can tell that they have shunn the last decade becuase the music and life style of a normal 70´s influnenced city is the devil
see these are dope commercials..im not even from those times.. && i like vintage commercials.. but commercials today are fuckin wack.. keep it old schoool.
Lookinland was completely wrong for this commercial, he had not one spec of athletic ability in his body, I'm suprised at Coca Cola they were scraping the bottom of the barrel when they picked this closet queer bastard to do this
America boycotted the 1980 Moscow Olympics.
