While watching the movie I saw the guys doing their regular 9-5 type jobs and couldn't stop from wishing they had made it big. It wasn't until the end of the film that I realized they are a success, no matter what the bank account says. And I'm so glad to know that this movie helped people like me discover these guys and give them the praise they deserve. ROCK AND ROLL MAN!

What nice guys they are. I don't like all their songs but I think they are excellent musicians. Maybe their song writing has let them down in the past.

I know the Parents of the Bass Player Glenn Five. Glenn's mother use to work at the law office I courier for and his dad also work for them too.

I'm not a huge fan of Anvil but I admire them cause here's a band that never sold out and never gave up. They believe in there music and they believe in themselves and they don't let people tell them different. To me they are true musicians in every sense of the word. If more people had ANVILS attitude there would be better music out there.

Think about it how AMAZING it must feel after staying loyal to your DREAM of being a rock band, working regular jobs to get by, and going through all the ups-&-downs ... since 1980 ... 29 FUCKING YEARS!!!

... then, you have a fan who decides to make a movie about your band. Then, stuff just starts to fall into place.

Who else gets to experience that ... in their 50's?

It's an un-fucking real story ... I respect these guys so much for staying true to their dream.

im not ashamed to admit i had several tears in my eye when anvil came out to the japanese crowd in the movie! although im 34,id never heard of anvil till the other month..and having listened to a few of their albums..they truly are fecking amazing!! they always had the ability to rock,just that nobody knew it due to lack of exposure during the bad years. you have a new army of lifelong fans in manchester guys! so much respect to you! keep on rockin...for another 20 years!!! mothra forever!!
