i recommend Flylady site. It is really helping me. I have special needs and was really overwhelmed trying to keep the home before joing this site.

It is partly about taking babysteps and having routines, using a timer and doing a job for 15 minutes then stopping. Having a break about once an hour for 15 minutes ,( as a guide), and learning to be kind to ourselves and not beat ourselves up. The encouragement and support on Flylady is really motivational.

I tried flylady a couple of times and really like the website and her book, but I can't seem to stick to it. Several ideas did stick though, like the clean sink (okay, even though it isn't always clean), the shoes (yep, that really works) and the 27 fling boogie (I just threw 135 things away this past week - check out my videos to see what I got rid of!). So I guess she has changed me. If only I could follow her babysteps. However, she did encourage me to try some baby steps of my own.

I'm not up with the babysteps yet, but I do the sink most days and the daily mission most days. The idea of doing anything EVERY DAY is a bit much for me, so I like the missions because they're one-offs. The system kind of permeates my thinking now and I look for little "missions" of my own.

I'm an on again off again FlyBaby since early 2006. I just keep coming back because there is so much of what she says that rings true with me and my husband. This time in my off again phase, my husband started saying "but FlyLady says this," and "don't forget, FlyLady says this." I guess even he sees the impact she's made in me and our home.

I loved Pam and Peggy, THE SLOB SISTERS, as I first saw them on April 6, 1983. Had they said we suffered from Attention Deficit Disorder, it would have saved me a lot of time. Before that I was just scatterbrained, ditzy, an airhead, etc. Ritalin helped, and Prozac was even better.

I dont think I mentioned where I am from..(Cyprus) Arriving in Australia as refugees in the mid 70s, my family worked hard to get a roof over their head, let alone 'clutter' their house with junk. I simply think there must be something damaged in a persons outlook/motivation if they need to be *told* this stuff. I only know about Flylady from my partner, it works great for her - I merely find it unusual for reasons mentioned above.

"How Clean is Your House," is the extreme behaviour of some British people. The reason why I say, "Britians," is because it is a show of only britsh people, its filmed in Britian too. We have a show of Americans who are pigs, look up "Clean House," it is a show about cleptomaniacs.
