The langauge they spoke are used by gunns, gels, alpnas, legs and udins nowadays in northern and north-western Azerbaijan. The writtings on the church walls can be seen even today. Today they are both christians and muslim, jews as well live here. But the langauge commonly spoken in Azerbajan is widely turkic-oriented language and people living here are mixtures of the caucasian nations gels,tats,udins,turkic tribes all spekaing turkic langauge of azeri being descendants of albanians.

There deffinetly exists a connection between these two distant land and the only thing that i can think of that connects them is the roman empire. Like most of today's europe, albania was also part of the roman empire who privided soldiers to rome which in return sent them to conquer distant lands and therefore extending its empire. I'd like to research more on this topic to put some light on the historical relationship between these commonolities.

Actually, I didn't explain the above in detail, but I was actually referring to "Alban" in the comment above. So, Albans took the name from italians, and Albania from Albans.

It is not true. Because in the history there is Roman - Albanian war. and Roman empire invaded Albania. So it means that Albania had no relations since Roman came and captured, Albania existed before that.
