A private business isn't a democracy. The bosses can fire whomever they'd like for whatever reason. If unions can organize on their own, fine, but they should get no support from the government.
Recently had a Union thug show up at my door. Dropped kicked him in the nuts then called the police. Filed a complaint the guy tried to force his way into my house when I told him and his union to fuck off. Yes I pressed charges. I am sure he will be looking for a new line of work. Not every one is intimidated by UNION assholes. I rank them right along with child molestors
The EFCA is just another liberal giveaway to the unions. Like they don't have ENOUGH benefits already: antitrust exemptions, closed shop states galore, Davis-Bacon, you name it.
Face it, unions: your time has come and gone! Americans are tired of your bullshit, esp. giving hteir dues to candidates they don't even like. We don't need you. The middle class hasn't gone anywhere, so stop acting like we "need" unions to remain rich.
There was a time when unions were necessary, but now they're mainly just a way for already-well-paid workers, like those in the auto plants, to get cushy benefits and mooch off employers for crap like healthcare, so they don't have to make that tough decision of buying insurance THEMSELVES.
We have a 155 million labor force. The vast majority of those are middle class. Just b/c a few million or so have lost their jobs to shit like outsourcing doesn't mean ALL the middle class is under siege. That's just lying, and you union folks know it.
Deregulation labor relations and let WORKERS negotiate their own contracts and terms with employers, not some patronizing paternalistic asshole union boss.
Have you ever noticed it's usually only the union leaders campaigning for this shit?? But how many ACTUAL union members come and campaign for it? I bet much fewer. The workers don't want EFCA. It's the union bosses who do. They HTINK they're helping Americans out, but it's a ruse. Hell, we've never had higher than 1/3rd of the labor force unionized. Could it be because we've actually advanced quite a bit economically, despite union propaganda about the "shrinking" middle class?
Lies. I have been a worker in units being organized twice; once I was against, once for. Card-check is subject to more coercion and abuse than a secret ballot, and far less democratic. Your only true protection in the world is having a useful skill set and a free market to pay for it.
If the majority of workers want unions then why get rid of the secret ballot? Open ballots sounds like left-wing union intimidation to me. Could you imagine having national political elections with open ballots? Why are the gangster unions so afraid of the secret ballot?
Unions say that the secret ballot is open to *Management* intimidation.
That may be so, but the solution is fixing the weaknesses in the secret ballot.
Getting rid of the automatic secret ballot is just a way to make sure that unionization happens even if the majority of workers would decline it in a secret ballot free from Management intimidation.
Lots of statements, nothing to back them up. The issue isn't pro or anti-union, the issue is eliminating the secret ballot, which is so antithetical to America. I don't want anyone, for any reason to take away my right to a secret ballot.
What secret ballot are you talking about? There is no secret ballot currently in place! Check out the NLRB process for yourself - don't take my word for it.
Let's see...more union members=more union dues=more money for the union bosses who are featured in this video. Sounds great for them!

IF A UNION ASSHOLE SHOWS UP AT YOUR DOOR, SHOOT HIM IN THE FACE, DRAG HIS DEAD BODY INTO YOUR HOUSE, PUT A KNIFE IN HIS DEAD HAND AND CALL THE COPS.

The problem with you unions is that you think business owners should run their business around the employees.

I would have rated it higher but I can't hear the audio on some parts, even with the sound full blast. Can it be fixed?
