Beyond Birthday was originally one of L's successors,but he was born with the Shinigami eyes.

That means he can see anyone's true name and life span above their head. He went crazy and started killing, also making himself look like L. He's the one with red eyes in the video.

He isn't in the Death note series, but he is in a book based on Death note called 'The Los Angelos BB Murder cases'. Death note is a great anime!

I read in the "How To Read" DN guide that the creators liked coming up with names that sound real, but arent. The same applies to the BB murder cases, except the names are obviously more outlandish than usual.

In Wammys House, B also stood for 'Backup'.
