I want a lazy basset hound, I think I have the only hyper basset out ever , 4 years old, and insanely energetic, I figured after the first couple years she would get bored of walking, but noooo, and I don't even want to get into the gellified goo that comes flying off her face, when she shakes her head.

I want one that gets tired after 20 feet and you have to carry them home.

I have a Basset and Dachshund pair also... this reminds me of my Basset wanting to play with my Dachshund. My doxie is my "little old man" at two years old and is incredibly lazy. My Basset will be a little old lady after a few years so I guess it works out. Her first birthday is coming up July 17th!

I have seen many dogs that do this (including my basset hound and the newfoundland dog that I had when I was little). They are just trying to make their bed comfortable.

haha yea you lay a blanket out folded nice and neat and flat and cushiony and they paw it all out into a half circle and lay beside it
