  • Amazing....lets build one

  • Um teclado de cristal??? É isso???

  • beautiful. Sounds almost as an eletrconic instrument.

  • What a beautiful sound.

  • Les sonorités qui s'échappent de cet instrument...

Elles sont tout simplement mirifiques !

  • oh its awsome

  • frightens the crap out of me. i would make a huge bet they used this in "the shining"

  • If I never win the lottery or if I can never afford to buy one of these, I will recreate one myself, in my back yard.

Sware to god. I am serious.

The internet is the best rescource I can use to remake it.

  • @SnoozeIRTL Get Francois Baschet's book - it's all in there

  • @SnoozeIRTL Do all of us a favour, when your done put up on youtube.

  • @superirish4354 Ohhh I forgot about this (two years ago I posted here)

I will personally send you a link when I do.

I have a feeling that I will be able too soon... Im a huge fanatic of real, non synthesized, instruments.

I don't think it would cost more than $500 to recreate one of these, and I've spent more than that on instruments before.

I would definitely post a detailed log on how its made too, so other hobbits can do it and avoid the costs trial and error.

  • Created in 1952 by by the French instrument makers and artists Bernard and Francois Baschet. Very used in the "Musique concrète". Thomas Bloch is probably the best player in the world. In fact, there are really few people who can play this wonderful instrument.

  • @zukuzukuzukuzuku that's not my comment! Someone hacked me! I think this is beautiful.

  • I'd like to see a piece played with the cristal baschet providing the bass and harmony/accompaniment and the glass harmonica doing the melody.
