  • I wanted to say thank you. I've been looking for information on these tarps...pretty scarce out there, even though they've been on the market for a few months now. I emailed Hennessy just to find out a comparison on size for the Typhoon vs the HH Hex tarp...considering picking this up to replace my hex tarp for my HH Explorer Deluxe. Nice to have the door option when the weather really gets ugly.

  • Definitely a sweet tarp. I have the Hex fly from HH and I quite like it. I've considered building removeable doors for it though for when the weather gets really bad.

  • Correction -

The Monsoon Rainfly is for the Expedition, Ultralite Backpacker, Deep Jungle, Evader or Hyperlite.

Typhoon Rainfly is for the Explorer Ultralite, Deep Jungle, Survivor Hammock

  • How did it hold up in the rain?

  • @Yoc200 it held up very well..another video or 2 on it..

  • looks good man

  • I ordered mine last week. Should be here on Monday. Great to see it in video before it arrives. Looks like it should serve me well.

  • @TigerRagFishingTeam Thanks for watching..I am sure you will be happy with it. Price and design is pretty darn good. Nothing bad to say about it. Oh, no stuff sack with it, but at 80 bucks I can survive that with a 5 dollar ditty at wally world. Plus, it will probably will just go with the hammock in the hammock sleeves anyways.

  • when I get back home, I plan to make my own tarp for future outdoor travel. I like the shape of this very much and the size seems ideal. I need to search around for a pattern because I like the catenary sides
