Anyway sorry for the long answer, read everything in reverse order (short answer room lol) the whole rivalry thing is kinda complicated here in Utah, the other two big schools try and pretend we don't exist most of the time and we're always the underdog. BYU put "Little Brother" on the megatron (what they call us) after they barely won last years basketball game just to take a jab. (it took some home cooking on the refs part too) lol well hope that helps.

@jasonsplace1 What I saw was when every time Utah St. would travel or push-off it was never called but whenever Nevada did it was called instantly. It would happen almost every time. Yes I am blaming the refs but WAC refs are so inconsistent sometimes they are on the ball and sometimes not. Nevada Vs Utah St. They were not. They called unnecessary fouls and didn't call enough .
Also to everybody good job beating Nevada the youngest team in the nation and toughest OOC schedule. We knew when Babbit and Armon left it was a down year.
@jasonsplace1 Seriously? Like I said Utah St. is good but did you really not see the fouls calls? Maybe thats why Boise also lost by so much. Nevada wouldn't have necessarily won but it should have been a lot closer
@freakydeaky9 I watched the game and I thought that the fouls were called very evenly. They missed a couple each way and they had some make up calls as well but from what I saw, it was even. I'm willing to admit when a game is called unfairly but this one wasn't. It just seems that blaming the refs is a universal excuse to use every time your team loses. It's a pathetic excuse. Mike Scioscia said it best when he said that you should never play close enough that you have to rely on the refs.
I'm not being bitter at all, just honest. Besides when Nevada played in Logan we got screwed by the calls against us. Utah St. is good but the calls were just god awful. But then again it is hard to get a Utah St. fan to agree with anything true thats not about them. Have fun in the new WAC beating nothing but new Division I opponents.

@treesap32 Whatever it's the truth you guys almost always choke in the NCAA Tournament. Also if you win the WAC without losing it might be hard to go to a neutral court and beat a team a third time for the year. But whatever if you take pride in going to the big dance and losing right away have fun. Have fun being stuck in the WAC while Nevada, Fresno, Boise, and Hawaii continue to succeed
@treesap32 So you've only won the conference twice. The only time your season really counts is in the WAC tournament and NCAA and you usually choke in the big dance. Winning a WAC title doesn't prove much if you can't win the tournament. You guys also whine that it wasn't fair to have it in Reno because of "home court advantage" Nevada still has a better advantage because we play in Vegas every other year. You also haven't won 4 straight titles do some research
@treesap32 you guys send all your players on a mission so when they come back they are bigger and older. How can you compare that to an 18/19 year old freshmen? there might be a 6-7 year age gap in there. If Utah St. had the same kind of players Nevada did and had the same schedule because lets not forget we played the toughest OOC in the WAC there is no way that you guys would be 20-2. were 9-14 so what. At least our players are good enough to get drafted 1st round

@freakydeaky9 I watched the game and I thought that the fouls were called very evenly. They missed a couple each way and they had some make up calls as well but from what I saw, it was even. I'm willing to admit when a game is called unfairly but this one wasn't. It just seems that blaming the refs is a universal excuse to use every time your team loses. It's a pathetic excuse. Mike Scioscia said it best when he said that you should never play close enough that you have to rely on the refs.

I'm not being bitter at all, just honest. Besides when Nevada played in Logan we got screwed by the calls against us. Utah St. is good but the calls were just god awful. But then again it is hard to get a Utah St. fan to agree with anything true thats not about them. Have fun in the new WAC beating nothing but new Division I opponents.

@freakydeaky9 You're blaiming the refs? USU won by 22 in a game where fouls were called pretty evenly. I don't think the refs changed the outcome of the game at all.

@treesap32 Whatever it's the truth you guys almost always choke in the NCAA Tournament. Also if you win the WAC without losing it might be hard to go to a neutral court and beat a team a third time for the year. But whatever if you take pride in going to the big dance and losing right away have fun. Have fun being stuck in the WAC while Nevada, Fresno, Boise, and Hawaii continue to succeed

@treesap32 So you've only won the conference twice. The only time your season really counts is in the WAC tournament and NCAA and you usually choke in the big dance. Winning a WAC title doesn't prove much if you can't win the tournament. You guys also whine that it wasn't fair to have it in Reno because of "home court advantage" Nevada still has a better advantage because we play in Vegas every other year. You also haven't won 4 straight titles do some research

@treesap32 you guys send all your players on a mission so when they come back they are bigger and older. How can you compare that to an 18/19 year old freshmen? there might be a 6-7 year age gap in there. If Utah St. had the same kind of players Nevada did and had the same schedule because lets not forget we played the toughest OOC in the WAC there is no way that you guys would be 20-2. were 9-14 so what. At least our players are good enough to get drafted 1st round

@lemonshamp00 Also we have 10 newcomers and you only have two freshmen and three sophomores. Try to go 20-2 with two seniors and 4 juniors it probably wouldn't happen.

@lemonshamp00 Sure you've been to the tourney four times but you've lost in the first round and you've been playing Division I basketball for six years. Lets only go back 30 years. Since 1980 Utah St. has one ONE game in the tournament so in a span of 30 years, your 1-11. Nevada has not been to the tourney very often but at least we don't fall flat on our faces every year.We have also been to the Sweet 16 in the MODERN ERA. USU has had a better record then we have ever had? You must be kidding

USU has had a better record in basketball than nevada has ever had.. damn b.. overall too.. how many times has nevada been to the tourney? thank you! ohh mwc now.. well all the good people left.. and watch nevada get beat by wyoming! haha

@lemonshamp00 Your mad that USU got shut down so now the whole media is making Nevada look like a bunch of assholes and @eskimobronco he is right they knew what was going down and you got screwed in the end. Sure USU is better this year. But, whose going to the MWC? Had a better ranking in softball, basketball, and football. Nevada has and besides if USU had as many freshmen as Nevada they would be having a down year. UNR is better then USU overall, get over it.

@Lemonshamp00 Okay they did get an invite but they turned it down not to be loyal with the WAC but so that they could get BYU in the same conference. They tried to pull a fast one on the MWC but that didn't work so Nevada and Fresno St. were invited. Now you guys are mad again because your jealous at us because you won't get a second invite.

My high school student section and band shell did the same chant at our football games for the past several years. I always thought it was pretty cool as a player and as a spectator in following years.
