Soft weather. Beach but no sand. A sea. No ships (once HMS Glamorgan turned up). An old poster would have you believe that the beach was all sand. 'They' kept the official rain gauge semi-sheltered for low rainfall figures. Hence the postmark 'Aberystwyth for record Sun, Sea and Scenery' The station clock ran five minutes fast... and every new bride left town to continuous train whistles. A 'little birdie' would tell the cops who'd did the crime. Some cruel teachers...

I was visiting my son who went to University there. As he dropped out after 2 terms there is a good chance I will never return LOL
