@HowToEatWaffles Actually mate, it's a hell of a lot better than 1985's offerings. Plus, this is a sim, it's not supposed to be easy, it's supposed to be realistic. Believe it or not, there are people out there who enjoy this sort of thing, rather than playing arcade battle games with rude people who do nothing but grief and curse.

@HowToEatWaffles maybe, im a pilot myself, an all i can say is, that BF3 and flying helicopters has nothing to do with reality, Take-On uses the best physics i ever saw in an heli-sim an it simulates reality pretty good!

When comes to Operation Flashpoint, Arma 1,2 they are most realistic military open world sim games I ever seen you just cant compare those way to different genres!

@yappers4 The Real Virtuallity Engine has improved over the past few years, Bohemia now have the money to splurge out on engine upgrades, with take on we now have render to texture and in arma 3 we are gonna see Physics simulation so i think the arma engine is turning to win.

the flight physics is actually very impressive for a preview of the game, it's not even a beta just yet. i have a license in helo and i've already pre ordered this game. It'll be awesome if BiS can implement the flight physics into arma 2 or the up coming arma 3 so we can weed out the guys with no clue how to fly a helo properly.

@qunniq Yes, It's called Take On Helicopters and it is a full flight simulator based on helicopters using a proper flight model. This was the preview they released to the community to try out one of the helicopters and the flight simulation.

In most civilian helicopters, the pilot sits on the right seat. All helicopters that can carry more than 1 person (ie more than just the pilot) can be fitted with a second set of controls (Cyclic, collective and pedals) for training purposes. For normal operation with light helicopters like the hughes 500, they removes dual controls so you can take one more passenger.

In heavier helicopters, they usually keep them on for operational reason.

The Hughes 500 is an exception. The pilot flies from the left seat. Not having the collective between the front seats leaves space for 2 pax plus the pilot in the front.

@Cardinals525 ok - heres the thing its standard to sit on the right when fling a heli that is the PIC (pilot in command)'s Seat. Most if not all helis have 2 control sticks i was offering my opinion as constructive criticism. You have obviously never flown a heli in real life.

@routhoula Yes, the community preview is pretty much an addon, the only asset being used is the Helicopter itself as well as some pretty nifty code from the game. Take On Helicopters will be a full game.

@ownageman1240 Download the newest version from their site. It's called a patch but open the folder and run the .exe. It should create an icon on your desktop. Enjoy :D
