  • That "Ferrari" was actually a Corvette with a fiberglass body kit made by McBurnie Coachcraft. Phillip Michael Thomas was later a pitchman for a sketchball kit car company that made a Ferrari 308 styling kit for the Pontiac Firebird they called the "Machiavelli Max". Aaaah, the '80's..!

  • which episode is this

  • @monkeh88 S1 E4 - Calderone's Return Part I or The Hit List

  • @jreedus1228 Hah! I'm just sittin here thinkin that every one of his yearbook photos would look the same. From 1st grade to college....all with that stare. He'll prolly have a clean desk too, just like Castillo's. Nothing on it but a phone.

  • hev, what ever, fhis ist 30 vears a go :-)

  • nigga.....not my gen-u-ine italian leather couch....oh hell no....tubbs get me my shotty...

  • @jreedus1228 Well hush my mouth,,,You so funny!

You ever hear of a man named Calderone????

  • @starbearry lol thanks...no..but im thinking this shall be my one-day sons middle name..or last ...tubbs sonny-calderone...lol...

  • @jreedus1228 As long as you dont name him Izzy! LOL

  • 2:12 Zubiena lying in wait....

  • I love how Crockett's theme chimes in at the end there.

  • epic series, love it

  • Im gettin me a UZI proof couch

  • Some things fucking stick. I haven't watched season one in months. Then one day I started just hearing this song in my head. It kept replaying itself, I knew it was a Vice song but not which one. After spending an afternoon going through episode music lists it turned out be this.

    Fabulous!

  • left rear tail lights out @1:07 but they are back on @ 1:13 then they are back off again at 1:18 LMAO

  • left rear tail lights out @1:07 but they are back on @ 1:13 LMAO!

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great track, brilliant episode, thanks for uploading...but I miss hearing the (replica) Ferrari racing down those streets.

  • The Argentinian is still my favorite bad guy from MV.

  • That was real driving.. How insane.. ;DD

  • They drive so that the bottom plate strikes a spark.. Awesome! :DD

He ajavat niin, että pohjalevy iskee kipinää.. Mahtavaa! :DD

  • The mix of the Daytona Spider hauling ass while "In the Night" plays in the background are pure POETRY in motion. MV was an entity that couldn't be explained, and could probably NEVER be replicated.

  • i am from croatian and i love it !!!

  • This is well done......immersive...love it!!! TY

  • Man, I want one of those bullet proof couches, awesome!!!

  • Well done!!!

  • Probably my favourite episode of Miami Vice....terrific..

  • still like ace frehleys version better.

  • IF Miami Vice came out in the 70's it'd be the coolest show on TV. I'm glad it was the ulitmate show of the 80's. Would've been way cool if they played some more 80's heavy metal songs in the eps. "Rock N Roll Party In The Streets" by Axe, "Take Me Away" by BOC, "Satisfaction Guaranteed" by the Firm, "Wanted Man" & "Back For More" by Ratt, "Remember The Heroes" by Sammy Hagar and "Passion Play" by Night Ranger all could've been ideal songs for Vice.

  • Every show, every scene, every minute of this series was simply epic.

  • Good job they had a bulletproof sofa!

  • Dear vermillionsands,

Could you please add the original version with the car sounds as well?

I like that version alot also!

    Thanks!

  • Miami Vice The best TV-series ever made PERIOD!

  • man....if the assasin had finished his donut and coffee, Miami Vice woulduv ended with this episode..........now that woulduv sucked!!

  • raz im lewy tył świeci a raz nie. Serial mojego dorastania :)

  • Love the 80's guitar solos

  • when I was a kid friday nights ruled because of episodes like this one

  • 6 persons are calderon partners...

  • Frehley's Comet's cover is better, but this has a nice little funky feel that I really like.Russ Ballard wrote some amazing songs, including 2 hits for Ace Frehley New York Groove and Into The Night.

  • Saundra Santiago - sweet and beautiful. And she's still beautiful today.

  • love this song!!

  • I believe this is an Uzi 9mm Israel available in full auto, 3 round select auto, and single shot ........ this appears to have the optional folding or expanding stock. He put tape on the extra magazine (a common military tactic for quick reloading, which he must do, 30 rounds mag in full auto lasts about 1.5 seconds) ... great show,. this one was very memorable ........ thanks for posting it.

  • @HGRPhotography1

The gun is a Ruger AC556

    Full auto in .223rem

Ludovici Armstrong (Jim Zubiena) uses a Ruger AC556 with a shortened barrel, folding stock, and two magazines jungle-taped together in the climax of "The Hit List" when he attempts to kill Crockett.

  • YEH! ACES! is way better but this is cool! funny how 2 russ ballard songs end up being popular songs for the lead guitarist of KISS you never know!

  • I never cared for his ex wife, he was physically so far out of her leauge.

  • thats one bad ass machine gun....

  • Does anyone know the name of the Jan Hammer song on the episode with Bruce Willis during the part where they're going to the airport? It's like a keyboard solo but Jan makes it sounds like an electric guitar with a wah wah.

  • @TallonIV776V the name is "airport swap" ;-) good song too...

  • Ace does this song a lot better...

  • @HimuraKenshin666 I disagree, I think they are both good but I think people prefer the first version they heard and liked, Just my opinion.

  • Classic Vice!

  • Now u see why he never let tubbs drive the testarossa.

  • This album was at iTunes for a short time but the company that owns the rights to it took it off. I think it's still up at Walmart mp3 music downloads. Rhapsody had it last time I checked. So did Napster.

  • Great show & ep!

Knew of Russ Ballard from his "Voices" tune...didn't realize we was the writer (and performer) of In the Night . Always thought it was a Ace Frehley (Frehley's Comet) song lol Never realized it was a "cover" , nice to still learn little things like this after all the years!

Regards & Thanks for the upload!

  • looks like Sonny had a loose left marker light that a good solid bump fixed

  • Who killed the heavy close to the end of this clip? Crockett or Tubbs? I never found out who. All I see is Crockett holding his 45 looking down. I think it was Sonny.

  • @bucky468 Might have been Zito or Gina, Crockett was inside checking on his family.

  • @Marcstang04 Wouldn't surprise me if it was Rico. Could've been Stan or Zito. I doubt it was Gina. I never heard Sonny's 45 when the hitman got taken out by Vice.

  • @Marcstang04 Tubbs should've used his double barrell M60 during this shootout. That would've ended it for sure. That's a very powerful firearm. The hitman would've been taken out w/just one shot if Tubbs used his trademark firearm.

  • How'd Tubbs get the keys to Crockett's Spyder?

Crockett's 45 mag is so badass!!

  • ...the 2006 ? movie was crap....colin farrel..pffftt....the series rocks :-)

  • Frehley' s Comet(Ace Frehley,Anton Fig) did a hard rock version of this song on their debut album in 1987 which I like very much. I was not aware of this version done first by Russ Ballard. It's very catchy.

  • @view247flix I hated the frehley version of this song. The original will always be the best version. Ballard's version is the original indeed.

  • i'm not so sure i'd run into assault rifle fire with a 2" snub nose

  • Russ Ballard's In The Night on Miami Vice in 1984.

  • @TobyHalicki089 duh, the video is named that, not like you did us any favors here...wtf why give this guy thumbs up for nothing? you people on youtube are

  • @TobyHalicki089 dumb

  • Hi Russ It's LIs......

luv ya...one of the best rock singers of all time

  • @doodame Never officially released as a single. It's more of an album cut that AOR stations played due to "Vice's" popularity.

  • Classic.

  • What is so unusual about this video is that it's using the orginal version of In the Night, not the edited version used in the show. But both versions time out perfectly, right when the hit man open fires. Weird. Cool. But weird.

  • Classic!

  • there were a bunch of good songs in this show

  • Magnificent music and extracted, I saw it hundred of time, i also like the version original with the sound of the engine ferrari, we notice that at the beginning of the race the left back light 's car is out of order then it re-works then but magnificent clip

  • the best show of the 80s....

  • An 80's classic... I think Crockett resembles the JC Denton of the 1980's

  • Ace Frehley's version of this song ROCKS.

  • The ultimate show EVER! Take me back to the 80's!

  • Espectacular !!!!!!

  • Muy bueno, sin palabras.

  • COOL x 500 !!! this song is just incredible...

  • Great episode with awesome music, in the night!

  • MIAMI VICE THE BEST SERIE FOREVER!

  • This part of an episode of Miami Vice alone is why I make our honey moon to start in Miami !!!

  • thats south miami in video .........

  • good stuff. miss the 80s. Hope music can get good again like that.

  • @lastwolflord

    .........no :-)

  • criss le gars y'en a en esti des balle dans son chargeur ..... lol ..

  • dam this was great the 80's rock

  • now THIS is an 80's classic!!!

I can picture Johnny Midnight driving at night to the beat of this music!!!

  • @JohnnyMidnight1

AWESOME! TOTALLY AWESOME! DAMN, I MISS THE 80'S.

  • I guess I can see your point on the bullets when the cops are shooting the bad guy. How ever, the cops shooting were a far distance away and using hand guns and shot guns that from that range are probably not going to tear all through the house. The cops outside know where Rico and Crockett are from when Rico went in the house and the writers were clear in scripting Crockett to make sure his family got down. More likely the flaw is that nobody ever got hit by a bullet riccochet but Vice rocks

  • Miami Vice. CLASSIC!!!!!!! :)

  • Yeah, a great 80's TV-show but the music is better...

And it will survive the TV!

Music is Food for thought !!!

  • i miss the 80s :(

  • yess, i tooooooo

  • where is all the traffic when they drive?

  • There isn't any traffic here. What are you talking about. Ok, Maybe on Shula once in awhile but nahhhhh nothing except blue hairs from canada in their 65 foot mobile homes that drive.

  • It is literally the middle of the night, so why would there be any traffic? They just busted the hitman's partner at the late night club, which is why Crockett thought it was safe to take home his family. The only logic flaw is why would they wake up the kid Billy to take him home in the middle of the night rather than just take him home in the morning, but that is minor. A great show, a great scene, and a great song all combined to perfection in this clip.

  • @jackygrahamez Wasn't much traffic in South Beach in the 80's. It was a ghost town.

  • @jackygrahamez Lol, I would always wondered the same thing, Especially because they ran a few red lights at times to.

  • in case you didn't notice the Argentinian assassin/Ludovici Armstrong was actually played by Miami Vice's firearms instructor :P

  • so cool.

  • The machine gun fire really jolted me after the song! Ha ha!

  • Ace Frehley covered this song in solo album too.

  • love Sonny crockett

  • The show with the best soundtrack to me

  • Agreed no TV show had a soundtrack as great as this, miami vice has and always will have the best soundtrack, its wat made GTA VC the best in the series, that miami vice look and feel to it ^.^ *howls*

  • I totally agree with you on the GTA: VC game....best of the series...

  • I'd love for RSTAR to make another GTA set in Vice City.

  • as far as everyones been led to believe gta V comes out the end of the year and it will be vice city

  • really? that would be great. do you know if its set in the 1980s or present?

  • i dunno that but id love to see it in the 80s, theyre all so secretive haha

  • @sambo75420 no even a debate

  • @thatsafreakbaby Great Minds do think alike...Rock On... \m/

  • i loved miami vice saundra santiago i still love u thanks youtube for post it

  • American cinema is so unrealistic and over the top. Still, good show.

  • Bite me, Eurotrash!

  • No need to take it to the heart, my friend. At least you got your geography right!

  • Its not American cinema...It's from the picture box in our homes called a television. And unrealistic? Are you insane? All cops here in Miami drive Ferraris , they are just disguised as Dodges

  • Are those dodges their own private property? Of course that, by "cinema", I was reffering both to what we see in the picture box at our homes, and to the big screen in the big room full of people making noises. And I don't even need to watch Miami Vice to know that American cinema/television/pictures/series/_____ (fill in the blank) is, as I said, unrealistic and over the top. There is no need to be offended. I am not saying it is bad overall (and even if I were, it would be just my opinion).

  • I was joking lmao Relaxxxxxxxxxxx Of course It's over the top. That's why Miami Vice is and was the greatest show ever

  • Oh... right. Well, I'm relaxed. I just thought you had been offended like the other fellow who replied to my comment some time ago.

  • I remeber watching this back in 1988 an 89. i was only 3 but i do have a great memory of my child hood what i use to do and watch. vice alf wonder years growing pains, la law etc

  • Gina did it! hehehe ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • agreed

  • Don't think I would like the repair bill for the under tray of the car

  • daytona 365 wow now thats a car!

  • don't think my wife would be very happy, if we get home and someone starts shooting at us... she'll probaly ask me to change jobs . ( *smile*)

  • i remember watching this episode. i was shocked when they killed gregory sierra.

  • an exceptionnal work

  • Why did the Argentinean move a few steps to the right and then start firing?

  • HE WAS IN THE ARMY

  • Wow I didnt know Ballard did songs for Vice.

  • HE ONLY DID TWO SONGS

  • @AWESMEGUY Actually 4 of Russ Ballard's songs were featured on Vice. 2 from the LP "The Fire Still Burns" in the ep "Yankee Dollar." The opening song (can't remember the name) & "Your Time Is Gonna Come" (not the same as the Zeppelin classic.)

  • Woooooooooooooooooooooow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Its kind of overkill showing him driving that piece of shit station wagon. They had nice minivans back in the late 80's ya know.

  • lol! rofl, he looked out of place, yeah.

  • I like the Ace Frehley version better.

  • i love how the night is showing with the tense music. (my favorite song)

  • Miami Vice 4

    ever!!!

  • well, at least the testarossa wasn't fake - ^^

  • it's ferrari daytona

  • They went from a fake daytona to a real testarossa.

  • Daytona whose fake, how do they do it ? hole car , or some parts ?

  • I'm not sure, but I heard it's a Corvette with Daytona panels.

  • It was. A guy was making these as "kit" cars. You could transform you're C3 Corvette ('69-'82) into a Ferrari Daytona. Ferrari sued the guy when Miami Vice became huge. They have never been too keen on people making replicas of their cars. MV blew up the fake Daytona in Season 3 to stay out of the middle of it and Ferrari offered up 2 or 3 Testarossas to use since it was great advertising. Everyone wins, except, of course, the guy making fake Daytonas.

  • I loved / love Miami Vice. Great info you dropped, I had no idea.

  • Considering Ferrari's main schtick is the looks (excepting the 430, which is considered to be the best performing supercar in the world) over everything else.

The Daytona (especially in the 365GTS Spyder varient) is one of those cars that even 30 years on it's a stunning bit of design. There's nothing in Ferrari's lineup that can compare right now (though that new 430 looks promising)

  • Best looking Ferrari ever has to be the Testarossa. That thing is mad sexy.

  • this isn't looking back at the past. i hope this is my future.

  • such a rare car ... even for a tv show, it shouldn't be pushed so hard xD

  • it was a kit car built on a corvette

  • indeed, mc burnie replica

  • I saw a real Ferrari Daytona last weekend. Very Nice. There's a video of it on my page.

  • 1985 Miami reminds me of Rimini in Italy.

  • It's a toss up between Russ Ballard's Voices and this song, but they're both great! LONG LIVE MIAMI VICE!!!

  • that car was Kit Car loll fake!

  • I think he's driving that car just a tad too hard. Ya know, with the sparks flying and all.

  • Dam Crockett...watch that Chevy...uh, I mean Farrari.

  • Awesome clip!! fantastic song!!

    Miami Vice forever!!

  • THIS WAS THE BEST MIAMI VICE EVER.! pERIOD

  • new movie was ok...kinda just a major repeat of past episodes with a new cast, good in its own way..but nothing close to the show...

  • Ha good point! I have watched a lot of vice. Have caught many screw-ups with the cars, using same scenes twice and so on. Don is the star of that show. Even though Sonny has to have a partner for it to work. I never thought Ricardo had as much of a role as Don. Here and there. They would both nail hotties from time to time. Great show with awesome 80's music. I refuse to even watch the new movie...

  • Super 80s Song!

  • great song and movie .. who sang this song ?

  • Russ Ballard - 1984 Russ Ballard

  • Russ Ballard my friend.....

  • VIVA!!!

  • VIVA LOS 80s UP UP MIAMI VICE!!!

  • I'm always impressed how they made a "45min movie" within a week!! awesome!
