Well first, it looks like they reverted back to giving away items below $1000, making the game a lot easier. Second, I didn't say you have to be an expert to win it, I said you just have to know it, and that's fairly evident in the past several playings, where contestants seemed clueless. It's 30 seconds for TWO prizes, you have be QUICK, not slow...

It only requires you to know basic math, not the 'game'. I played the game a few times on Price is Right 2010 for Wii, ignoring whatever the item was, and determined that anyone with a lick of common sense absolutely cannot fail at this game. Forget the price. It's just, "I'm thinking of a number between 0 and 1000 (or 2000)". Say it's 888. Fine. I'd say 500, 1000, 750, 900, 800, 850, 875, 880, 885, 890, 889, 888 bam 8 seconds. Easy. The Clock Game requires the math skills of a 3rd Grader.
