  • vegeterians don't eat eggs,so no,this isnt vegeterian friendly..

  • @Pruttomaten SOME vegetarians don't eat eggs. I know many that do.

  • @TitliNihaan vegans don't eat eggs. vegetarians eat eggs! I'm vegetarian and eat eggs. :)

  • @TitliNihaan why cook it so long I probably be bord out of my mind

  • @MegaJessie62 If you want to stand by the stove and watch this cook for 6 hours then I suggest that you have too much time on your hands...

  • Do you ever put brandy in yours and let it age for months like some people suggest?

  • @Armagrin No, but only because I don't use alcohol in my cooking

  • I've always seen Christmas Puddings darker than yours. I was wondering, is that the suet making the pudding dark?

  • @Ms131228 It may be the way it's cooked or the amount of sugar they use, or just extra colouring added. I doubt factories making chrimbo puds will boil them for 6 hours :-)

  • @TitliNihaan OK, and yes I don't think that factories would boil them for that long.

  • I followed Titli's recipe but instead popped it into my pressure cooker and it came out perfect and only took two hours.

  • i never knew you turned into a vegetarian

  • @Sinead201010 I haven't, but that doesn't mean I don't care about my veggie friends.

  • getting naughty around christmas time ma'am? im afraid santas checking his list ;)

  • @desidol22 Ooo! Ooo! I'm being good!

  • Titli, would you be a sweet girl and make the Traditional 'Big Fry' for breakfast please? This includes the black/ white pudding, grilled tomatoes, rashers, etc, etc. Y'all have the best breakfasts! Thanks!

  • I was so excited to make this until she said leave it for 6 hours

  • @the16v17 Use a pressure cooker, it cooks perfectly in 2 hours

  • all the dry/candied fruit reminds me raisin prices in the US has risen quite a lot

    ($1 to $2) :(

Man I've been watching some of your videos and I've put every single one I have watched in my recipe playlist for future reference to try them out. Your taking over the playlist lol I'm gonna have to go to the market soon :)

  • @JDLOCKON Sorry to be so dominating... :-)

  • @TitliNihaan No need to apologize, with recipes as good as your and humor like that you deserve it :)

  • I have tired the vegetarian suet before. I rather prefer the regular suet. Though I have to say the vegetarian suet is a very good substitute if you want a lighter pudding.

  • WHY DONT YOU JUST USE VEGETABLE SUET?

  • @hatstalker BECAUSE IT ISN'T ALWAYS EASY TO FIND.

  • @TitliNihaan erm.... go to a supermarket!

  • @hatstalker *I* can find it easily in my local supermarket since I moved back to the UK, but once you go beyond these shores it can be really hard to find. In some countries it is simply not available!

  • @TitliNihaan Here in the US I have managed to find a super market in Pennsylvania that sells Atora Suet. They even have an on line store that sells nothing but British foods and hard to find British ingredients. Here is the URL for your viewers outside the UK mainly in the US that maybe having a hard time finding Atora Suet shop british goods online dot com (no spaces).

  • @GoMetricToday Thanks for being so public-spirited!

  • Did you hear about the bloke who drowned in a christmas pudding, he got pulled under by a strong currant.

  • @Brighteyes1ful Groan...

  • This looks delicious, thanks Titli! I always find that I can taste too much alcohol in christmas puddings, but this looks great!

  • WOW 0 dislikes! I am impressed! Well who could dislike it? :D

  • what no silver sixpence or thruppeny bit?

  • @hunkhk And where exactly am I supposed to get these artifacts?

  • Can the candied peel be left out?

  • @BlatentlyBooshified I suppose so.

  • looks soooooooooooooooooooooooo gooood! O_O

  • holy mother of ingredients!

  • hey titli.... if i made this into a chocolate cake.... will it still cook nicely on a stove... what would i do to make it into a chocolate cake without all the dried fruit. like if i used choc chips instead!!!!!!.... ???

  • Why do Brits call cakes like this a 'pudding'? Pudding isn't cake.

  • @UltimateGrobanite For the same reason that Yanks call biscuits cookies. Just remember who invented this language! The French, the Germans, the Scandanavians...

  • @TitliNihaan Well, Brits do call Graham crackers 'digestive biscuits.'

Gotta say we win there, sorry miss ;^.^

  • @OtisCallsItGood But Graham Crackers are not the same as Digestive Biscuits. They are similar, but not identical.

  • Titli.. can i be part of your family!!

  • Yup. tis Titli, big hands, big feet, Big..... I've got a fist like Sonny Liston's, and size 12 (the big size twelve!) feet......shan't bother you with any other details!!!

  • Can this be made a month in advance and left to mature?

  • @rockandrope In a cool place wrapped in foil or cling-film. They freeze well too. You can also "feed" these if you wish...

  • @TitliNihaan Feed??? What do you mean? BTW, love your sense of humor:)

  • @DORAMARIE In the same way as you might feed a rich fruit cake before icing it. ;-)

  • @TitliNihaan oooooooooooooooooh, I see:))) *hic*

  • @DORAMARIE :-D

  • titli you remind me of Mrs. Doubtfire :D

  • Can we use margerine instead of butter? Anyway, seems pretty good, I should make one :)

  • @Lassionbabe Sure!

  • eggs are considered vegetarian over there??

  • @RamonaViciousMonroe of course :)

Dairy and egg free is vegan :)

  • @Lassionbabe yes im aware of this but she cracks an egg into it but the title says vegetarian friendly and i was just wondering if it an egg means different something different in france ( i think thats where titli lives)

  • @RamonaViciousMonroe The term "Vegetarian" generally refers to someone who does not eat or use products from the slaughter of animals. There are sub-categories - ovo-lacto-vegetarians, ovo-vegetarians, lacto-vegetarians and vegans. Veganswill not eat eggs or dairy products.

When I use the term "vegetarian" I use it to mean "Free from slaughtered animal products". It is up to people to decide whether it fits their personal form of vegetarianism!

  • @TitliNihaan oooooh ok!! thank you soo much!

  • i relly love it , raisins , and the combination of all, yummi!!!!!!!!!

  • can we make this pudding in the oven?

  • I don't understand why its called pudding. It's more like cake. Pudding in America is more like custard.
