  • how did you like the magic carpet?

  • how did the magic carpert work for u?

  • hey cgeorg its Rack Wrecker! this is my youtube username! Nice video! You have nice timing by the way! I always admired those who use the 5 step approach, being a 4 step guy myself. Also, you have a really smooth release. I know this is an older video but nice job. I really need to get some footage of myself up here already

  • dude your whole problem is very simple about half way down ur swing you begin to hinch up. Keep your elbow straight the whole way through until you release the ball thats where you lose alot of power but if u keep it straight up until u release it you will be fine you will see that the ball will come off smoother with more revolutions on it and instead of throwing the ball you will roll it

  • Hmmm... Nice timing, I suggest u to buy more agressive ball though, its just a little bit weak reaction for the kind of release you're doing. Not 100% sure though cuz I cant see ur rmp though.

  • I will also agree with the ball getting into the lane to early. The only things that I could find that you might want to work on in your approach was that you seem to be getting over your toes (leaning forward) a little bit to much which can cause you to pull the ball on occassion. Also, you seem to be "popping" out of your post on your release rather than staying low to the ground and allowing your body to send all of the momentum into the ball. Other than that your foundation is great!

  • GOOD points: Your balance and timing are fine. Your walk does not have a significant drift. Your backswing and follow-through are on plane, and your shoulder is not opening.

BAD points: The only thing that could use a little work is to adjust your loft, because the ball is landing way too close to the foul line, when it should be landing 1.5' to 2.0' past the foul line when you are extending through the ball properly. Try reducing your knee bend to fix this, and then you'd be there =P

  • Thanks for the comment about the landing point.

  • Not bad. Your release is great. Don't touch it. What you need to work on is that bounce on your third step. Also I would look at not cupping your wrist so much.

  • nothing wrong with cupping the wrist. Creates more power when you unload at the bottom of the swing.

  • It is impedes the smooth release of the ball. If you where to place a rod from your palm through the core of the ball the angle between your arm and that rod should never be more than 90 degrees. More than that gets in the way of your release and actually lowers the maximum revs you can get.

  • uncuping his release would change it... cupped release isnt bad at all, ALL the moddern day power players have a cupped release, Pete Weber, Tommy Jones, Sean Rash, Robert Smith... Even if you watch Parker Bohn's release he has his wrist cupped and he is as smooth as they come.

  • Very Nice release Great job.

  • Whats Your AVG Right Now Mine Is Like 161

  • what pound ball do you use?

  • 15 for the most part, though I have a couple 16lb balls (including my benchmark ball)

  • im a beginner, i just really play for fun, and i really wanna show up my friends this friday. and quick and useful tips for me?

  • dude your pretty good. I always find my self starting towards the middle and throwing at the second arrow on the right, and curving it. but Im too incosistent that way. I was wondering, how do you curve it so good throwing it near the center. I tried it before and threw it in the gutter, or just hit the pins on the right side.

  • I get a decent bit of revolutions on the ball. While I know it doesn't look like him, I try to keep Pete Weber's release in my head when I am bowling - stay behind it, then a smooth late turn of the wrist w/open hand. As long as you keep your hand behind and under ball till it passes your ankle, then just rotate your hand around the side, w/o grabbing the ball, you'll get a bunch on it.

  • Also note that Walter Ray has won more title than anyone else, and he'll tell you that straighter is greater. When he misses, he leaves nine - when Pete misses, he leaves splits.

  • thanks for the help.

  • I thinke that you are hangen to much to the right... straighten up :)

  • good ball except brooklyn, haha i know that wasnt the purpose of the video dont wory, but maybe dont try to slouch so much in the middle of the approach

  • high flush, actually

  • Terrific video! No need to even go to the Chris Barnes PBA member video. The slow mo allows you to analize and correct any flaws in your five step approach!
